IT seems to me that those of us that wake up early and got their order in within the first few minutes , got royally screwed by Apple if you chose to apply for upgrade program or any other type of credit. The time of checkout changed to the time when the transaction got approved. Absolutely unfair. But what do they care, we buy their products anyway.

Yes, they did. They said use the apple store app on your iPhone or iPad. That's what I did. Placed two orders for 2 flat black iPhone plus 128gb and was back asleep 20 minutes after preorders started.
I ordered a AT&T iPhone 7 128gb matte black. Order confirmed email at 03:11. Support profile page does not list the iphone 7 but has the Apple Watch that I also ordered at the same time. Both say preparing for shipment but looked up ups tracking by order number and it shows it left Narita Japan 9/12/16. Hopefully phone and watch are in that box.....
Sorry, but just using the app isn't full-proof. It definitely works more frequently than the full Apple site, but it doesn't always come up in 3 minutes. The tips are tips, but they don't have any guarantee of success.
The app has come in clutch for me 2 years in a row. Both years it took an extra minute and a half or so for the app to open up fully, but always got launch day phones.

i ordered a black iP7 128 GB and rose gold iP7 32GB with September 16 delivery dates. i'm still on prepared for shipping i tried ups and fedex reference tracking still noting. anyone else still at the prepared for shipping phase?

Both still in processing.
This same thing happens with my 6+ as far as Halloween date initially l and I ended up getting it about 5 days after release date if memory serves.
I went though Apple this time versus ATT thinking it would help order quicker but it didn't really.
We'll see.

Yes it will. You will only have problems if you're traveling to China where it does not support the LTE bands used there.
The guy in this picture...It's like Apple put all the stereotypical traits of a Genius into a computer and an algorithm produced this guy.
Funny, I started with the app store app. It would never load. I would force close it and open it again but all I would get is the message saying to check back. I also kept refreshing the website on my phone in Safari. Eventually, around 15 minutes after preorders started, the app finally loaded. When contacting my carrier, the app kept receiving an error. I kept pressing retry for a few minutes before giving up and getting on my PC.
Guess what. The process went smoothly on my PC and I was able to finalize my purchase. In my case, using the app store app was a failure. I wasn't able to get the site to load on my PC until around 15 minutes after it started as well. I was sitting at my PC, refreshing both my phone and PC until one of them loaded. The server became available on both devices at the same time, but I chose to use the app store app since it already knew my phone info. Like I said, this ended up being a dead end because it couldn't reach AT&T. However, I was able to successfully place my order using my PC.
How can you people who were lucky enough to be able to quickly access the store act all smug and talk like everyone else who did the exact same thing as you did were just ignorant/uninformed??? You're being ridiculous. Some people just couldn't get through to the server for 15 to 20 minutes. Unfortunately, it only took 15 minutes for the more popular options to sell out for launch day.
I am getting the same thing; I think it is a security feature. The tracking number is the "Password" of sorts for the parcel. If you don't know it, then they aren't going to tell you. We searched it out via reference number so UPS isn't going to tell you.
Question, What does yours say on the right hand side of delivery location? Mine says LAWRENCEVILLE, GA, US, but I am guessing that is a hub. I also am guessing UPS knows where this package is going yet
FYI - Few will take note, but if you don't have shipping info, DON'T PANIC! When I ordered my 6, I was checking like mad since Monday, and while it seemed EVERYONE else had info by Mon or Tues, mine stayed in Processing and I didn't get a shred of info until Thursday night when all of a sudden my phone was in Louisville, KY. And still, it made the trip from there to Seattle and to my house by Friday afternoon. Lots of worry for nothing.
Yep, used the app as well. Finally got an order confirmation email at about 3:23am EST. Still pending, says it'll be delivered by 10/18-10/31 (Verizon iPhone 7+ 128GB Jet Black)
I ordered a Silver 128gb 7 Plus (ATT Next Program via Apple). The order has gone from processing, to preparing for shipment back to processing, and now back to preparing for shipment. Date has remained a steady Sep 16. Nothing on UPS with either the telephone or order number minus the last two digits. I'm just hoping I can get UPS on the phone once I get some info on tracking so I can get them to hold it before it's out for delivery, as I'm leaving at 2pm that Friday to go out of the country for 10 days ha.
