I sell mine every year and get a new one... My 6s plus is already almost $400 on eBay and there are still 5 days of bidding left. Better than trade-in value.
I was hoping to sell my 6 Plus on ebay, but I'm not sure if it would fetch $350 or so. Good luck though!

To the people who pay for the phones outright, when you want to get a new phone, do you just sell yours? Do you get a good return on what you paid? Are you getting the new phones every year? I always wondered if there was a benefit to paying for it up front vs paying monthly, besides obviously not paying monthly. Just curious, thanks!
I pay full price up front and sell mine every year, I get a really good price every year when I sell the old one. I put it on the Apple card and usually get between 6-18 months of no interest. It is worth it to me to have the newest phone every year and to not be tangled up in a contract with the carrier or Apple.

Spigen Ultra Hybrid "Crystal Clear" Gotta show off that matte black phone ;)

I had that exact case on my 6s Plus rose gold, and loved it, until a few months later when it started yellowing. When I finally took it off a few months back, it was actually brown. Not dirty at all...the color of the PVC changes over time.

I am a huge otterbox fan but went with Spigen because it appears they have a tough armor model with the jet black finish. That is what I wanted in my phone but settled for matte black. I sent an email to check on the finish. I ordered but won't be shipped until the 23rd. Had to get interim case.

I ordered the same spigen case for my iPhone 7. I Have the same case on my iPhone 6 and have been very happy with it. Mine shows a shipping date the same as yours so in the mean time I ordered the spigen rugged armor which I got Saturday. They make great cases....

Has anybody who does not see their phone in support profile been able to track it yet? Mine has been preparing for shipment since late Friday... Ordered via Apple App at about 3:05am EST, got email confirmation at 3:08am...

Use craigslist. eBay is full of scamming dumbasses.

Craigslist is terrifying...I've heard too many stories of the buyer showing up and holding the seller at gunpoint and stealing the item. Meet at a police station for sure. I've had great luck with eBay for years...I've sold hundreds of items on eBay and never had a scammer. However, I sold my iPhone 6 last year on Swappa and it was a great experience. I'll be doing the same with my 6s Plus this year.

I usually try and sell mine the return pays for quite a bit of my new phone. the last 2 years I have been giving my iphones to my parents to get them out of the dark ages. while its a huge investment year over year I get good son bonus points haha. Ive upgraded the last 3 years

Son (as he broke his)
Mom
Dad
Staggered deployment

Yep, same here. My dad is currently using my old iPhone 5. I'll be giving him my 6 next weekend. His birthday is tomorrow and we are celebrating it next Saturday so the timing is perfect. He's tough on phones so I'll buy him an Otterbox case for his birthday and include my iPhone 6. I know he'll be very pleased.

Swappa is the only way to go...I sell all my old iPhones up there every year before the new ones drop. Craigslist is a shot in the dark if you are not careful. If im buying a phone from there, always suggest meeting in the carrier store and if they give you any pushback then you know something isnt right.

I have the same ship date and still says processing. I'm afraid we won't see any changes until all the 9/16s start moving.

My buddy just got his moved up by giving them a call..

I would say its more scammers on Craigslist than eBay.....
How is it possible I called this morning and even they politely asked if I wanted to get transferred to a manager because I had one date on cart and other on email confirmation and said honestly wasn't posible to do anything. That I was on the fight wave.

Usually pay full price every year and then sell on eBay. It's been a pretty seamless experience so far. The key is to sell your old phone a week or two before the keynote. Once the keynote hits the values go down a bit. Recently sold my 6s Plus 64gb for almost $500 about 1 1/2 weeks before the keynote.

I have not. I can't track it, it's not in Support, and I have received nothing but the confirmation email. Processing for shipment though.

Is anyone who ordered a non-plus seeing the phone in their Apple Support Profile?

I am. Ordered 2 non-plusses, a silver 256gb and a gold 128gb, both scheduled for 9/16. One phone showed up in my support profile yesterday (but I can't tell which; the photo is of a black phone, so it must just be a generic photo regardless of color ordered).

Edit: I should mention that I can't track either phone yet (search by reference yields no results), so I assume they are starting out in the states, and, therefore, not actually shipping until later this week.

Exactly! I went to sleep around 10pm central and set my alarm for 1:55am. I woke up in plenty of time and began refreshing the store app on my phone at 2am. I wasn't able to get it to come up until sometime between 2:10 and 2:15. It kept showing the same placeholder message. Once I finally got in, it kept getting hung up when trying to contact AT&T. I retried over and over for about 5 minutes.

I then hopped on my PC and was able to get in. On my PC, I was able to get past the step to verify my carrier. It was close to 2:30am central by the time my order was completed. My confirmation e-mail came in at 2:37am. Luckily, it allowed me to choose pick up in store with a date of 9/16 and I was able to choose 11:00 to 11:30 which was my first choice for time. I noticed the next day that I received an e-mail at 5:24am letting me know that my iPhone had been reserved and that I needed to complete my order within 24 hours. This was from the order I tried to place using the app since it wasn't able to reach my carrier. That phone became unreserved Saturday afternoon.

I bet many people having issues tried ordering from multiple devices. This probably tied up quite a few additional phones. Hopefully what happened is that when these reservations were released they went to the people who barely missed getting a date of 9/16. This could be one factor causing dates to get pushed up.

But yeah, bottom line is that being able to actually access the store within the first few minutes was most definitely luck. I'm pretty sure that nobody's refreshing skills are any better than anyone else's. Good luck everyone!

For me I never got the iOS apps to get in from time of start til time I got my phone ordered via the Store on my Safari on my Mac -- which there took me til 2:15 AM CST (12:15 Pacific) I had my 9-16 confirmation mail by 2:32 AM CST

omg i sold my old iPhone on swappa and it was a really bad experience b/c the dude i sold it to gave me some address that was to a shipping company (i googled it and it seemed like a legit house address). then he contacted me when he got the phone like a week later saying that the phone had an apple iCloud lock on it and i was like no dude, i cleared everything and it's no longer in my apple iCloud profile online and everything. he wanted me to call apple to get the lock removed. the email screenshot he sent me said it was locked by some gmail address that i don't even have. it was a huuuuge debacle and i shouldn't even have proceeded to help him but i always assumed swappa was very much buyer over seller so i went through hoops w/apple to get that stupid phone unlocked b/c some jacka$$ at the shipping company decided to open it and locked it up himself. never again lol

Yes I found tracking info but the phone is not in my support profile page yet
Wow, there is hope yet lol. I know I'll get it on launch day as promised, never had an issue, but it's fun tracking it. I stopped searching for tracking number because I figured if it's not in a profile yet, there is no tracking... Thanks for that info
