No walk ins for the Plus indeed. They apparently weren't lying when they said they didn't expect the same demand as in the past and that supplies were shorter than usual.
It looks like it was not a waste for those of us that ordered iPhone 7 plus on Friday! Those hoping to walk into Apple stores on Friday and pick up iPhone 7+ in JB or Matte black or any other color are SOL . Makes waiting another week easier .

I suspect that all the USA orders got priority and will be shipped in 16th, rest of world (i.e. Australia) will probably start getting them early next week. So will prob be shipped on Monday, and expect it from Tuesday onward.

Anyone outside the U.S. with a "preparing for shipping" or "shipped status"?
And anyone with an expected delivery 26 Sep - 3 Oct with some movement?

I still am in processing hell in Sydney. My window is the 21st-28th for the 7+ 256GB in JB. My guess I will finally see some movement tomorrow or Monday. For the record I got my order in at 4 minutes past when the app finally loaded

Odd I woke up this morning and mine says shipped. And UPS says it is in Louisville. But no push notifications to let me know my status has changed.

Nope. People in the States just seem able to be able to track the whereabouts of their phone earlier. They're no more a priority than anywhere else, and everyone will get their phones on the 16th (apart from some customers of Australian telco 'Telstra', who've been taking more orders than they had stock available).

Apple told me that the order status doesn't change when the phones leave the factory, but when the final journey is made from wherever they are in Australia (they arrive in NSW) to the homes of the people who bought them. Apple are starting that process as late as possible, overnight tonight. I was told to expect an order status change in "6-8 hours".

EDIT: Mine's just changed to shipped! Whoop!!

I feel you. I already got it set in my favorites and it took just a minute to get my preorder done, but the app took ages to load and I was able to get a confirmation at :08

Ok, the Apple guy I spoke with said they're shipping overnight tonight and the status won't change to reflect that until they do. The pre-ordered phones are in Australia already, so it's just a case of express delivery overnight. I was assured my new phone will arrive tomorrow. Yours should as well. Phew.
Omg thank you so much!!
