This is exactly what I'm doing. Getting it as early as possible and setting it up before work

I missed most of your exchange, but I noticed you're in Northern Virginia too. I show an exception on the home page of the UPS app, but not when I go into the details or track from a PC (still says on time). I also had requested to pick up in Chantilly (maybe see you there?!), so hopefully it's just from that.

I know it's a popular configuration, but figured 10 minutes after pre-order started should have been fine. Though (and I don't know if it's a regional thing or not), pre-order for me didn't start until about 3:15am, ordering simply wasn't an option until then.
I'm not complaining :) When I ordered my first Watch (right when pre-order started), I waited more than a month, and I was one of the lucky ones.

i don't have the UPS app so i can't tell (maybe i should download it)...but on the tracking page using my Mac, it doesn't show an exception, just the request. i think it'll change once it gets scanned at the Chantilly hub when it arrives. mine took a tour of Asia so hopefully it still gets to me in time for pickup tomorrow in Chantilly - if so, see you there! :)
 
Hey guys want to pre order a tmobile model for a friend. DO you guys know if it's same as last years where T-Mobile model is unlocked ? sim unlocked of course.

Once I thought that my package would never make the drive on a truck from Louisville to Fort Worth for the scheduled next day delivery, and UPS apparently thought so too because it showed up at DFW airport a short time after hitting Louisville. :) I wouldn't be terribly surprised if my package went straight from Alaska to DFW if that's what was needed to deliver tomorrow.

I dont think anything next day ever gets on a truck, it's all air so that's why it went to dlass via the regular scheduled early morning flight.

I'll bet it still goes to Lousiville They are set up to get stuff there pretty late in the evening/overnight (like 2am) and turn it around to most places very early in the morning (like 4:30 am flights). There are 8 or so flights that all come into Ky in a 30 min period from Alaska between 12:45 and 1:15am or so in the overnight. As long as you make it to Alaska in the next 8-9 hours you'll be good. From there you can check what time the Flights from Ky to Dallas are each day.

If you paid the full price, than yes. You can swap the sim card and be ready to go

I am going to go at noon and it's about a 30 minute ride from work as I am the other direction. So I will let you know. Stay tuned. :)

No it's not that thin. It has some bulk and weight to it, but not sure how it'll be on the redesign for the 7. I got a Solace case for my 6+ as they were on sale for Christmas at 50% off.

I'm also from the Northern VA area! I'll be picking mine up at the Springfield UPS CS center. I never got an exception status on my tracking, but it shows that my request has been received and updated.
 
For my Taiwan/Japan folks, worst case scenario, our phones won't be at the hub early tomorrow morning. But I'm sure we will get them at some point tomorrow.
