Really hoping our phone on UPS61 make it to Anchorage by 1pm PST and then go to another hub than Louisville. I'm waiting for mine in LA, where are other UPS61 phones headed? Maybe they plan on going to a hub on the west coast.

The flight from Osaka to Anchorage? I'm West Coast too, OC. I hope they send it straight to local hubs rather than Louisville :/

For my Taiwan/Japan folks, worst case scenario, our phones won't be at the hub early tomorrow morning. But I'm sure we will get them at some point tomorrow.

Problem with that is most cities only have one 4-5am flight from Louisville per day so there is no other plane to get them on. Major cities might have a couple more. I know mine is once per day for example. So for me, if mine didnt make it to Alaska in the next 8 hours I doubt it would make it.

I'm doing that: I don't like sitting around all day waiting on the driver, and I don't like leaving a signature on the door because an iPhone on my porch is a tempting target for theft.
I have heard that there are people that follow UPS trucks around on launch day to steal deliveries. I would not trust my phone to sit out. The porch pirates are out there and they will steal your phone if they can. UPS usually comes very late here, like after 7:00 with a delivery yesterday. One of us will be home all day tomorrow. I hope UPS puts extra trucks on for this like they have in the past.

I'm assuming everyone that are getting these shipping notifications had a promised date of Sept 16th?

Sucks I never even saw that date for my JB 7+.. within 1 minute of the site going live.. sept 26-oct 3rd.. I guess I just got screwed by them..

Look at the times out of Alaska, they are all pretty late in the day to get to ky by 1am or so in a 30 min window. Then UPS dispatches everything Air from KY to everywhere around 4am or so eastern. That would get it to your hub in time for delivery. Its much more efficient to have then send them to one place, even if it feels out of the way to you then going direct. That being said, there are 1 or 2 flights (vs 10 to Ky) to other airports other than Louisville that stuff does get put on.

But basically everything that's in Alaska in the next 8 hours will get to Ky in time to go anywhere in the US by tomorrow morning based on the times of flights.

Wow, where did you hear that?
I live in an apartment on an active intersection, so there are a lot of cars going back and forth, I dont't think someone will steal mine unnoticable.

Hm, so I'm starting to get worried.. my order still says "Processing Items," but I'm doing an in-store pick up. My check in time for tomorrow is confirmed, but shouldn't it say "Preparing for Shipment" or "Shipped to Store" by now??

I ordered a 7 rose gold 128gb.. not like that was the most popular option either.

By all accounts there are 0 jet black pluses for tomorrow so for you it wasn't a timing thing, it was a model choice thing.

Does anyone know where the phones go from Louisville? Like how can I track the plane it's on when it's going to the final destination.

Depends on where the nearest domestic UPS hub to your location is. In my case, it will be Orlando, FL. There are two UPS flights later this afternoon from Louisville to Orlando, and then there should be another one at 0400ish tomorrow morning (based on yesterdays' schedule).

yeah, i don't want to believe it either b/c if it's there at the hub..why wouldn't they let you? and also, my customer center is open on saturday's too so even if they don't let me get it on Friday..they surely would let me saturday...idk, we'll see! i'm just hoping i don't have to deal with any of that delay and can pick it up early tomorrow morning :)
Same here! Maybe once they get to Anchorage they will split up and come to the closet UPS air hub near each of us. That would be the fastest route.

I've got a question I'm hoping yall can answer:

So I'm going to be at work tomorrow when UPS rolls through, but on their website I set a delivery spot as my apartment's front office, and it says

"Leave At:
Reception
Based on the selected Leave At instructions, a signature will be obtained for the delivery of this package."

I also got an email from Apple this morning where there was an option to pre-sign for delivery and leave the printed page on the door tomorrow. Should I bother with doing this or will the signature from the front office staff be sufficient?

I didn't mean to say that you won't get your package in this scenario, only that it's possible. They would let you pick it up in that scenario (arrives at the hub late on Friday) if they've done whatever processing that they have to do; however, they might not be able to have it "Ready for Pickup" (whatever that entails, I don't know, but they have procedures like unloading, scanning, determining which packages go where, etc that they have to do before the package can be picked up by a customer). It's good that your hub is open on Saturday: mine is not. I recently went to pick up a package at my hub at 8 am after seeing that the tracking showed that it had arrived, but they wouldn't give it to me because it hadn't been "processed in" yet. I did, however, picked it up later in the day. Anyway, it looks like we're good for a Friday delivery. :)

iPhone 7 Silver 128gb T-Mobile had its import scan in KY at 9:37am yesterday. I'm having it shipped to my company (which UPS usually drops off at or before 10am est). Hopefully will be playing with it this time tomorrow! I'm excited as Ive been using an iPhone 5 for the last 3+ years... Ready for an upgrade!!!

That article is NOT an official Apple release. Limited supply is all that has been officially announced. PREORDERS are the only ones officially sold out.

This is a quote from Apple:

"We couldn't be happier with the initial response to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and we are looking forward to beginning sales through our retail stores and partners around the world.

Beginning Friday, limited quantities of iPhone 7 in silver, gold, rose gold, and black will be available for walk-in customers at Apple retail stores. During the online pre-order period, initial quantities of iPhone 7 Plus in all finishes and iPhone 7 in jet black sold out and will not be available for walk-in customers. Availability at partner locations for all finishes may vary and we recommend checking directly with them.

Customers can continue to order all models in all colors on apple.com. We sincerely appreciate our customers' patience as we work hard to get the new iPhone into the hands of everyone who wants one as quickly as possible."

San Diego, CA here. I think the closest Air Hub to us would be Ontario, CA.

That's just wrong. It's never OK to grab another man's package.
