I have heard that there are people that follow UPS trucks around on launch day to steal deliveries. I would not trust my phone to sit out. The porch pirates are out there and they will steal your phone if they can. UPS usually comes very late here, like after 7:00 with a delivery yesterday. One of us will be home all day tomorrow. I hope UPS puts extra trucks on for this like they have in the past.

They do, indeed. My neighborhood has had a number of thefts recently. Even without the people that follow the UPS trucks, there's the folks who walk around leaving flyers and ads on front doors who could look down and see that package...

Phone ordered for pick at store still showing as processing. Should I be concerned? I normally have the phone sent to my house but, decided to go with the in store pick-up. I haven't seen any changes to the status on my apple account and I'm starting to think I might not get it tomorrow.

No, it will stay like that until it is ready for pickup. You'll get an email from your store sometime tomorrow saying you can come pick up your device.

I know Apple is speaking of their company stores in this article... That being said, will the carrier stores have any stock? AT&T, Verizon, etc.

You might have something there! The carriers have limited stock, but they also have shorter lines, and I bet there might be some black iPhones there. Line up early!

I think they made it available to too many countries (28 countries) initially and should have limited it to more like 14. Apple doesn't have stock to cover it.

My UPS tracking has been just updated saying my delivery date has changed from tomorrow to Monday. What?!?!?!?! It shows it just departed Osaka. I'm mad.

This is a quote from Apple:

"During the online pre-order period, initial quantities of iPhone 7 Plus in all finishes and iPhone 7 in jet black sold out and will not be available for walk-in customers. "

Even though it's not good news, it makes me feel better - that I'm getting my 7+ earlier than those who didn't preorder (9/27-9/29). Maybe staying up for it wasn't a wasted effort.

To those of you who were lucky to get a 9/16 delivery date but are doubting that your new iPhone 7 will be delivered by the end of the day, do not be anxious. UPS has impressive logistics. Last year my 128GB Space Grey iPhone 6s Plus caught the last flight out of Louisville, KY, to its final destination at 4:36 AM. It arrived at 8:13 AM. At 8:27 AM it got the "Arrival Scan." And at 8:33 AM it was scanned "Out for Delivery".

Mine still says 9/16. Did you recently put in a request for an address change or to have it held at a hub/store?

Anybody else have a phone stuck in AK since early morning Wednesday?

Anchorage, AK, United States 09/14/2016 12:43 A.M. Departure Scan

My phone was just scanned in KY. It must have sat on the plane from AK or in a holding area for a day before it was scanned.

Do you seriously sit there with your phone plugged in and charging with headphones on? How often does this realistically happen. This seems so absurd to me.
I plug the headphone jack into my car and use maps. I'm a CNA and go to new places everyday, I stream pandora and keep the screen lit to view the map. So it needs to be plugged in or it dies before days end. Is that so strange?
