That gives me hope. Maybe they will expedite everything once it gets to Louisville. Or Apple owe a whole lot of cases and free accessories to their customers.
I would never ask for a free case due to weather but I definitely feel complaints have merit if they clearly had knowledge it wouldn't deliver on time to West Coasters. There is no way they wouldn't have known by the time someone received a guaranteed delivery email this morning. If I don't get it tomorrow I certainly will.

Probably right, otherwise as soon as the flight took off it would be time to land it haha. It'll probably depart late this evening and get to my local hub overnight and then out for delivery tomorrow hopefully. Although a lot of people are getting delays until Monday, not sure if it's just those that went through Osaka or not.
West coast stuck in Taiwan are getting pushed back. Your phone is literally 2 hours from your house, you seem to be worried about it, relax, you'll get it.

I agree. Just waiting to see what happens tomorrow...

Mine is on the Taiwant flight. It still says On Time but the scheduled delivery got switched from end of day to this. No changes made, I live in TX.

Scheduled Delivery:
Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time. Please check back later.

I ordered a iPhone 7 + 256 GB Verizon phone. I live in a rural town in the Central Valley of California. The closest UPS CC that I can pick up my phone is about 40 mins away. If I schedule for a pick up at that CC it for some reason does not open up until 2:00 PM. I usually get UPS deliveries between 2:00 and 5:00 PM. Do I set it up to pick up at 2:00 then I have to drive another another 45 minutes home to set up my phone from my itunes backup on my computer. Is it worth all that driving to maybe get phone an hour or two earlier?

People in Taiwan and China are having their entire lives uprooted or destroyed by this typhoon, yet some in this thread are angry because they have to wait another day or two for their phone? Hell, it's possible that the worker(s) that assembled your phone was directly affected by this storm.

This thread is turning into the epitome of #firstworldproblems.

My fate is now in the hands of ups. In Kentucky with an import scan. Just wonder if your delivery is 9/16 and ups is totally overwhelmed is there a chance ups will only work so long and your shipment would be delayed until next business day since they don't deliver Saturday.

UPS does deliver high priority items on Saturday. iPhones surely fall into that category.

Youll have to answer this for yourself. The rough trip in driving would take some of the excitement of having my phone early and my luck, when I get home, i would see the UPS truck in my neighborhood.

Personally, I just go to my UPS CC 20 mins away or just wait an extra hour or two so they can bring it to me.

I've been at UPS almost two years as an unloader and went through training for delivery driving. Just thought I'd share some insight into the whole shipping/delivering process:

Most likely everyone's phones who have been sitting in Louisville, KY will get a departure scan sometime tonight. Most of you probably already know this, but Louisville, KY is the WorldPort hub, which processes international air and tons of volume. There's a really cool video about it on YouTube.

From there, it'll go to one of the main airports around you (this is where you'll see the first "arrival scan" for your package), and transported from there in air containers to be loaded onto bay doors at your local sort hub. Preloaders at these hubs (who typically work from 3-8 AM) will unload these air containers full of iPhones to be sorted and processed throughout the hub. I believe this is the point where you'll see an "arrival scan" and a "destination scan."

The iPhones will then be loaded onto the delivery cars, which is why you'll typically see that it's "out for delivery" around 7-8 AM. Drivers are typically dispatched around 8-8:30 AM. They have to deliver their Next Day Air to businesses first by 10:30 AM, so it's unlikely you'll have your phone delivered before then. They do their residential deliveries and pickups next, which is typically around 2-3 PM. But of course this varies based on package car volume and delivery driver.

Hope this helped in some way! I know we're all excited to get our phones.

Did anyone do an Apple Store pickup in Cupertino for the 16th? My order status still says "processing items". Should I be concerned?

Apple issued an statement that 7+(all models) and 7 jet black WILL NOT be available for pick up at stores for wal-ins only.

So I went on flightaware.com and registered and looked up all flights leaving Louisville, and found the probable flight that my phone will be on UPS2950. It is leaving KY at 4:04 PM EDT est. and will arrive in Oakland at about 5:11 PDT est. Plenty of time to get to my local distribution hub in time for delivery tomorrow. below is screen shot of all flights leaving Louisville today.

Yes, for walk-in customers who haven't preordered and were hoping to stand in line for one. People who preordered and chose to pick up in store won't be affected. Just wanted to make this clear since your wording is a little ambiguous.
