My Black 128 7+ has been sitting in Commerce City, CO since 5pm today! So excited! I'm a little bummed because I won't be able to play with it until late tomorrow night. I had it shipped to work so I wouldn't miss the truck and I'll be there till 9:30 or so.

Yea I live in Wesley chapel (I'm sure you know where that is) and mine went to Jacksonville as well and it's already departed there. In the past I have always had my packages go through there first then tampa for final destination. Strange but that's how they get it done.

Yeah, before I traded in my Mini Cooper this spring, Mini of Wesley Chapel is where I had it serviced. Meanwhile, UPS is still showing my phone in JAX. Do they get trucked from there to Tampa?

Odered ATT iphone plus 128gb Black (matt) via apple Sept. 9th (around 7:45 am CST). Status has not changed from "processing items". 04 Oct - 10 Oct. range. No CC action either.

No change in status after phone got a departure scan in Louisville at 3:22pm. Destination is NJ. Is it possible that my phone just didn't get scanned upon arrival at the local hub?

My 128 black left Louisville at 3:35 PM, no idea where it is going. My case went from Louisville to Lafayette in 3.5 hours and then to Oak Creek, Wi in a another 3.5.

It doesn't seem like the phone is taking the same route.

Let's share some crazy release day stories:

When the 3GS came out, I was going to be in Vegas for the release, so I pre-ordered and had it shipped to my hotel (I think Bally's). Since I had used my wife's upgrade (and she was flying to Vegas the next night due to work conflicts), I couldn't actually activate the phone until she arrived, or else it would de-activate hers (you had to activate your phone with the number it was sold to, then you could swap SIM cards).

For the 4, my phone was delivered a day early (6/23 instead of 6/24), so that was kind of fun. Only time that ever happened to me.

When the 6 came out, I was going to be at a rental beach house, and by then they got smart and only let you ship to your AT&T billing address (assuming you had AT&T, of course), so, knowing that, I changed my billing address to the address of the rental house on the AT&T site, placed my order, then, after the phone had shipped, I set my address back to my actual address on the AT&T site.

Looking back, any number of things (shipping delays, mostly) could have really messed up plans.

Anyone else have any launch day stories to share?

I am in Louisiana. Mine shows it departed at 2:30pm from Louisville. Still scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Guess mine will be scanned as arrived in New Orleans late tonight. And then from there to my destination.

While we are killing time hitting refresh, I don't think this has been asked yet, but what is everyone upgrading *from*? Also, put in what you are upgrading to, for reference. I will start it off:

128GB iPhone 6 Silver -> 256GB iPhone 7 Silver

Edit: Don't shun me for not getting a plus! I went back and forth, and still kind of want one, but worried about one-handed use.
Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Silver Titanium 32GB+64GB microSD to iPhone 7 Jet Black 256GB

I can't wait to get back to an iPhone again. Only a few more hours (18 hours or so anyway) of waiting! Case and phone delivering tomorrow. :)

Phone and watch both sitting in Queens, NY waiting to go to my local depot. Hope there's no issues with me being able to pick up both packages tomorrow.
