The shipping destination of Santa Monica doesn't make sense unless it's a pit stop in the US on its way to PA. Also the weigh seems a little heavy at .70 compared to a lot of the .50 I've seen. Lastly I see most phones originating from Zhang Zhou, and mine shows Suzhou, China.

My apple watch shows the same weight and scans but destination is my city. You sure that's not an apple watch?
 
Ordered my belkin screen protector for pickup and install at the Apple Store. Hope it calms Down by Monday evening so I can get that done. Hoping I will like the matte black. Tired of gold and white. Probably should have done 7+. Okay next year for sure.

The thing I find frustrating in Japan is how Apple will prioritise getting stock to stores over online orders. There are so few stores here that lots of people would have to travel quite a bit to get to one (you would have to fly; I'd have a 2-3 hour train journey). For example, I had ordered a 9.7" iPad Pro Smart Keyboard in March/April and was waiting ages and finally went to the Osaka store where they had well over twenty in stock. And the same thing happened with the iPad itself a few weeks prior: happened to be in Tokyo, stopped by a store and left with what I had ordered online a week and a half before.

This prioritisation is happening to some extent with the iPhone 7 (there was at least one Jet Black 7 available at the Shibuya store this morning; and lots of rose gold phones around the country). The 7 Plus, too, had stock in stores this morning, but it was quite limited and sold out within 15-30 minutes.

Yeah, they called my husband Friday morning that he could pick his silver 7 up anytime. I tagged along thinking that they maybe just called him for the both of us. Nope. They didn't get a single plus, but had plenty of 7's on hand for immediate sale and told me I could have my pick of those if I wanted... I'm waiting for a 128 +, but I'm willing to compromise on the color.

Just checked that website you gave me, and while DoCoMo and AU are about the same, Softbank has had almost no +s go out. Guess we know their priority to Apple Japan...

I saw the black in the store and it is a Black Beauty...not glossy on the back, but the front is glossy and seamless. I can't wait as I too was contemplating a darker color than white this year. The matte black is the same color as my coffee cup and water bottle/growler.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. 28-30 delivery is what it's showing. But it's been in PFS for almost 2 days now. It then says "Ships in 6-8 Business Days." My card has also been charged. Nothing shows up in my support profile or on UPS. BLAH!!!!!

So it is now Sunday in China. Based on prior year's experience do they assign phones and tracking numbers on Sunday?

You'll probably see movement on Monday with a Friday delivery.

It's really strange that SoftBank hasn't had many go out. I feel bad for the people who are on SoftBank (for the phone situation, and having to deal with SoftBank)

I hope you can get your phone soon. I'm moving away from au and trying to time it so I don't have to pay for an extra month of service with them, whilst also hoping to get a phone before travelling in a couple weeks.

I didnt order an apple watch. I am wondering if I have same order number as someone who has a difference in their last two digits. That would be super disappointing.

Is it normal to be "preparing for shipment" for the past four days, have my AMEX charged but do not have any information regarding tracking? I've tried every possible reference number, but nothing. I'm sure it's nothing but I'm jealous and impatient. Haha Also, AT&T 256gb 7+ Matte Black

I can't say. It may depend on the color and size. Which model did you get? I ordered the rose gold 7 plus 128gb. Mine shows it's in Zhengzhou, China. A bunch of us are all in the same shipment it looks like.

Yes it is. I found no tracking at all (tried everything) until apple sent notice on Thursday early am. After that I tracked the plane from Ky To Seattle and delivery Yesterday. I was told if Apple said the 16th that was what it would be. Ups said I was the second phone of the day at 4:00. Definitely not a dressed driver.

That's the exact phone mode I ordered, but from T-Mobile

First year I tracked the flight. Quite entertaining. Some people are stalking ups trucks. I did not have to do that.

Tracking flights comparing to tracking is half the fun. Last time or two the phones were already stateside and not much to track. Live flight tracking is useful when family visits or catching a flight, too. I'm pretty glad I get to track from China. Still wish I had it now, but this will keep me busy until it comes.:D
