iPhone 7/7+ Apple.com Pre-Order Thread

Random questions, maybe y'all get point me in the right direction. I was hoping someone could explain the apple upgrade process while pre-ordering at midnight online (for next year of course). Do you have to set up an appointment? How does that work?

From what I am reading there is special stock set aside for upgrades not available to others. The lawsuit that is going claims upgrade people should not go over the 12 monthly payments. I think we will see a definitive process next year. You do have to have an appointment so they can check out your trade in. It appeared from this thread there is a special line for that at the store. Some claimed it went pretty fast. I am sure this will all be resolved for next year hopefully making sure upgrades get processed as priority.

Another bummer is I' out another 40 bucks for a new case. I tried my Apple iPhone 6 leather case and it blocks the camera and half the flash. Darn.

My phone has been working just fine since the evening when the apps failed to download. And yes I wasn't feeling particularly grateful for a phone that was missing all of my third party apps. I wouldn't go so far as to say Apple did something wrong here. The issue could have been with my network or with Comcast but having all my apps fail to download isn't an example of "just works."

Still I agree with your sentiment, getting the phone on launch day is something that is pretty nice and losing an hour waiting for stuff to download wasn't a terrible price to pay.

BTW, I do like my iPhone 7. I used it outdoors in the rain on Saturday morning and the only complaint I have is the touchscreen doesn't work so well with wet fingers and I had to keep wiping off the screen and drying my fingers to get the phone to do what I wanted when I tapped it. It's a wonderful "problem" to have, though. I now have a phone that I don't have to even think about whether it gets wet or not. Pokemon Go still eats battery like there's no tomorrow so I think I will not be playing this game as much until the developers find a way to throttle the thing back a bit. Pokemon Go is sitting at 76% of my battery usage and the next highest app on the list is down at 5%. Wow.

Based on the demand they likely had some calculation that spaced out dates as orders progressed. Based on all the Oct 4-10 orders going out the last couple days I'd be surprised if you got even close to November. I'm guessing beginning of October possibly sooner, they seem to be catching up pretty well.

Ordered 12:21am batch W51. Matte Black 128gb 7plus, estimated delivery was october 4-10, but it changed I believe friday to preparing for shipment.

It's still preparing for shipment, so hopefully it ships soon and will be here by friday

In the meantime I listed my iphone 6 plus on ebay and It says I'll get a guaranteed $351 but most like $471 for the phone (average selling)

Got a MyChoice delivery expected email for tomorrow. Everything still points to a delivery tomorrow but UPS is messing with me and not updating the package progress..why UPS..has anyone else had this?

I had same happen today but no updates. I hope their "delivery tomorrow" message is correct. A little concerned about the lack of any updates.

I know how it typically works too, it just bothers me that there hasn't been at least another status update. It looks like it switched back to delivery tomorrow, but I suppose it all hinges on what goes on in ANC/SDF, assuming it's onboard. The flights into ANC should be arriving shortly.

Because all the flights from China are landing in Anchorage right now, so once they clear customs and get fueled, they should get scanned as well and head to Louisville.

the last flight coming inbound from Asia to Anchorage will land in 2hours, unless they have more flights later (probably not enough time) your phone has to be on one of them to be delivered by tomorrow, BTW, my tracking is also showing delivery tomorrow, so fingers crossed.
