does anybody have any idea whether UPS has its own fleet for flights from ZhengZhou to Incheon? I have read a few posts in this thread, wherein people had similar questions.

There are only Passenger aircrafts scheduled between these two locations.

My phone is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday as per UPS tracking!

There are no cargo only flights between these cities. I believe, based on several departure arrival tracking screen shots shown here (and my own) they are putting these on the B737 China Southern Airlines flight.

This actually shocks me and I sent an email earlier to Tim Cook suggesting that this is a *terrible* idea. A passenger B737 is going to have none of the sophisticated fire fighting equipment on a dedicated cargo aircraft. If an iPhone shorts and/or another fire breaks out and ignites the iPhones it would be catastrophic for passengers, UPS and Apple.

This is a foreseeable scenario and Apple should be insisting that UPS use dedicated cargo aircraft out of ZhengZhou.

My baby has left Alaska and is en route to KY. Still showing as On Time delivery for tomorrow. No delivery window though, only "end of day". A bit frustrating considering I want someone home to sign for it. I may need to work from home tomorrow...

What was your actual date for it when you order it?

I hope you both got yours today. I finally picked mine up at the local UPS CC. I received the text message alert at 5:30 AM local time that it was scanned and ready to be picked up. I was so relieved that I got the alert. Launch nightmare finally ends. Longest weekend ever. No time to set it up until later this afternoon but glad it's in my possession!
Yep, the saga is over! Finally got the phone.

It ended up at the CC, looks like someone pulled it off the truck or the scans were wrong.

Good luck to everyone else, this has been a real pain, worst UPS experience I've ever had.

I still don't understand why some people with the same delivery date (9/20) are seeing movement while others are not, but still show 9/20, and yet others seem to be seeing their date slipping to 9/21.

I wonder if Samsung put all of their Note 7s on a cargo ship in freezer boxes

Oregon-Go Ducks!
I see your in Oregon like me lol yah my **** saying to be coming on Wed but it havent moved from ZhengZhou since Saturday.
Yeah, in previous releases they delivered the morning after landing in Louisville (same morning if landing after midnight in Louisville), Louisville to Portland landing about 5:30 a.m., a quick hop to Southern Oregon and trucks waiting at the airport. Unfortunately, since this is not a launch day, UPS is not going out of its way to "expedite" the delivery once local.

Wednesday is definitely doable if it ships out Tuesday morning your time. Flies during your day to Anchorage (either directly or via another UPS asian hub), then overnight to Louisville for normal sort and re-shipment to you.

Ah great! Thanks for the inputs! A sign of relief. So is there one particular flight that they use ? As per my original screenshot there are multiple flights scheduled for China Southern to Incheon. Which one was yours on. Mine is stuck at Arrival Scan Zhengzhou at 11:30 PM (China time).

Mine is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday. How long is the flight from Incheon to Anchorage? Mine has to ship to Dallas!

Only scenario that I can see (as I too have a 9/20 showing location scan in China) is if the info for the phone labels in a given batch were either not provided to UPS or the phone labels were never scanned as part of the batch. Thus, even if the batch is scanned by UPS along the way, it will not be applied to the individual box as those are only scanned once the batch reaches Louisville and broken down. Prior to that the updates are based on matching records of phone labels, to individual batches, to given aircraft.

So, in my case, my problematic phone has never been scanned as departed and arrived in ZhengZhou. If that phone never was logged into a batch then I will get no updates until the batch is broken down and the individual box is scanned in Louisville.

Ups should be able to handle this already after all these years of iPhone releases and shipments. Very shoddy.

I've been through this many years now, but still always curious. My iPhone is on a flight right now from Anchorage to Louisville. Shows arrival after 1:30am local time. I'm in Southern California. Tracking shows Wednesday, but traditionally, like you said, It was delivered early. In your opinion, should I expect it tomorrow? I ask, because I'd like to be home instead of worried that my package could be stolen. I live in a huge complex and safety is a concern.

The ZhengZhou flight departed at 4:28PM local and arrived Seoul at 7:34PM local. The only flight that even comes close to matching is the China Southern one. Note that there is only 1 China Southern nonstop per day, your screenshot shows two days worth plus connecting flights.

Incheon to Anchorage leaves at around 8AM Dallas time and arrives at 3PM Dallas time. Plenty of time to get that to Louisville and then Dallas for delivery the following day.

Does it have something to do with an updated carrier setting for the unlock that takes effect with a restore? I don't know...just guessing.
But why would i have to restore my iphone as brand new just for it to be unlocked? Im just gonna do it when my 7+ arrives.

Can't see any reason why the phone can't make the sort to go out on tomorrow's flight to CA. You have the advantage of being a couple time zones behind so it makes it easier to get a package on time than if going north/south or, even worse, east bound.
