yes, i've been lurking around here since pre-order day and now, i'm so upset, i had to chime in! lol

i saw someone else here in new york with the same issue....ups says delivery tomorrow or something and the phone is still in china

OMG, this is driving me crazy!

i can say this, hubby's phone was "location scanned" early saturday morning and then went out almost 48 hours later (which was last night)

i'm HOPING, that mine does the same....if so, then it SHOULD go out in the wee hours while i sleep and i'll wake up to a departure scan.....

all i know is, i will be ROYALLY pissed off if i don't get it this weekW also paid an extra $10 per phone for "faster" shipping....yeah, my ass!

i also paid the $10..i just don't get all the mixed messages..im on east coast too - boston..i will post here soon as i see any movement..

How does the tracking work exactly? How are they showing up as in China? Shouldn't the initial scan be at AT&T in Louisville or wherever

They track fairly immediately upon a UPS or FedEx label created...wherever that is.

I don't get how individual phones are being scanned in China for tracking. I would think they would all be sent to AT&T and then they would process them there to be sent out

I can be wrong. But my understanding is this-

Due to high demand (which is typical during the first month of launch), they directly ship it to the customer right off the production line at Foxconn through UPS/Fedex. Once supply catches up with demand, they stock it up at warehouses in the US. When you place an order now, it would be shipped from the nearest warehouse to your address.

Can you switch your AT&T sim from a 6s into the 7 without dealing with AT&T to activate the 7? (And not get charged a fee)

There isn't a direct way to do it. Most of us have searched flights based on time and location. I'd say start with where the last scan location was

I live in Lake Forest, so I'm hoping my phone is with yours and headed to Ontario. Tracking shows it left Anchorage at 3:49pm. So maybe it is on UPS77? I assumed it was still on UPS99 headed to Louisville.

Yeah. UPS77 left around 3:47p so I would think yours is on that flight too! We will see in just a few mins. It is supposed to land in Ontario at ~9:15 pm. Let me know if your tracking changes!

I have a quick question. So I bought my iPhone and paid full price so it should be unlocked per Apple. But when I went to activate my iPhone today and restore from backup through iTunes, I didn't get the "Congratulations Your iPhone is Unlocked" message. Did I do something wrong or is already unlocked and I didn't need to do anything? I turned it on first and then went through the activation and then plugged it into iTunes when it asked to back-up from iTunes. Was I supposed to have plugged it in from the beginning and go through it that way?

I am on AT&T, but I have a Verizon sim that I put into the phone and it seemed to recognize it by saying "Verizon Wireless LTE" at the top but it can't access the internet. I know that this year's AT&T and T-Mobile iPhones only work on the GSM and not the CDMA networks like last year's models that worked on all networks. Is that the reason why it won't access the internet? Because if it was locked, I assume it would say "error" or "sim not recognized". Can someone confirm this?

When I stick the Verizon sim into my old iPhone 6S Plus that is unlocked, it recognizes it as "Verizon LTE" and it can surf the net. So do I need to back up and wipe my phone and then try to restore from backup again? Thanks ahead.

Update: Never mind the question above. I chatted with Apple Support and they confirmed that my iPhone is indeed unlocked and is showing up on their end as such. They said sometimes you don't get that "Unlocked" message in iTunes as it comes factory unlocked. Plus Apple Support says that if it is locked, the SIM from the other carrier would not be recognized and an error message would have appear. Hope that helps others.

Only if the scans are actually up to date, which I don't think they are. Or maybe there was a disaster that destroyed the ups facility or the plane they were on.

I will say this, my notification from the Apple store did say I would receive the phone on Thursday the 22nd, so I feel they knew the phone was going to sit there for a few days before it made it's way here. I honestly would not be surprised if I saw no movement from ZhengZhou until late tomorrow or Wednesday.

Just curious, where are you seeing that stock is moving? I'm wondering if this is just for orders from the Apple Store though, as there's been no movement from that site you linked me to a few days ago. Any movement on yours?

That was just my assumption based on all the shipments happening to the US. Surely they can't ignore Japan forever. Then, given that there was a shipment of regular 7's yesterday to Japan, perhaps something is happening.

Edit: Mine is currently in the able hands of Kuroneko Yamato. It'll be here some time this week, I reckon, possibly delayed by that typhoon (#16) that passed through today.

Mine is stuck on same broken ass plane i would guess by the fact it left at 10:25PM and returned at 11PM going to be hard to deliver it ontime to me in Nashville
