Alright so my phone FINALLY got a tracking number (Matte Black 7+ 256 AT&T) Ordered at 12:09 and with an original estimated date of 9/27-9/29.

Sadly, Apple's new estimate is 9/26. Not that huge an improvement, but whatever. I'm hoping once UPS updates, it will have better news for me. (Hell, even Friday would be amazing!)

Now that I have a tracking number for UPS. Will someone teach me a bit about what you guys are doing with flights and stuff? I need something to pass the time and obsess over.

As someone rightly pointed out, a passengar aircraft has only so much space to accomodate cargo. Why can't these idiots have a plane just for this considering there are so many orders, atleast for the launch month.

hubby and i both were due for delivery tomorrow, on WED.

his kept moving and is now on the truck for today!

mine got stuck and USED to say Thursday.....right now, it's on the move again and in Korea but the estimated date is still up in the air.

i'm thinking i'll have it thursday but who knows

Didn't yours leave Korea on the 10:30 PM Flight or is UPS Punishing you?

MAYBE. Maybe. I have to say after the Land of China debacle, and the poor updates, I've lost faith in this shipment by UPS. I mean it's not that I'm mad or anything, because I am an airline pilot (well I fly private jets now, same thing though) and I know how difficult it is to run an airline schedule, let alone make sure a boatload of iPhones (I wonder how many iPhones actually fit on an MD-11, that's rather fascinating) gets on one single aluminum tube out of Asia. I always have high expectations for UPS and FedEx and they've always done a great job. I have to admit I like UPS better because they aren't so stingy on delivery times like FedEx is.

Perhaps we did miss a scan or something. But it seems more likely to me that they just ran out of room, or out of time.

Every year my phone departs from ZhengZhou, this is the first year it's been coming from Shanghai and it's been nothing but trouble, two different orders. I was just on twitter and UPS is getting hammered. Apparently our iPhones are missing flights to Alaska!
 
avatar is reflecting my mood again.....not red hot angry anymore....just a little sad and disappointed

hubby will have his phone a full 48 hours, at least, before me =[

i'm happy for him but honestly, he doesn't care about THAT much whereas i do so this is just a cruel twist of fate

Yeah. Me three. No departure scan out of ICN (yet?). Gets kinda annoying to have delivery scheduled for Tuesday and now it is looking like maybe Thursday if it missed 5X99. Sigh.

I wonder if the MD-11 is more likely weight or volume limited on ICN-ANC?

Tracking still shows in transit to carrier. I went into my UPS app and under driver instructions it says 9-22 delivery. Not getting hopes up as their have been alot of delays for many still stuck in China.

There's a very good chance of getting yours tomorrow considering its on the move. If it has departed Korea, you should be getting yours tomorrow, if UPS doesn't goof up more.

Well, I am still sitting in Korea. No departure notification so I guess my iphone missed getting on this flight. Talk about a slow boat (or plane in this case) from China. Bummer man. Not expecting mine until Thursday now.

So this link has the UPS flight routes that are known to carry iPhone shipments. Check your UPS event scans (arrival and departure times), and you can make an educated guess which flight carries your iPhone.

For instance, UPS myChoice says my package departed Incheon Korea 10:34pm 9/20 local time so likely it's on UPS99.

I have a delivery date again, 9/22. Which was my original date but then it said 9/21. I knew something was weird when I couldn't track the flight out of China based on the departure scan. Even though the delivery has been delayed a day, it didn't take UPS too long to correct the mistake.
 
Luckily my 7 Plus 128GB Verizon Jet Black is confirmed to be on UPS99 and is on its way to Anchorage. And, with 7 UPS flights leaving Alaska for Louisville after UPS99 lands, I'm extremely hopeful a long wait will soon be over! Hopefully tomorrow.
Good vibes to those who are still in limbo. I'm rooting for you!

Everyone needs to boycott UPS and tell their friends and family to do the same.
