the 8:01 crew is on flight ups 6064 from korea to hongkong then anchorage and Louisville. don't know any times yet but will update when get more info

Because 8:01 was from 9/21 and 7:43 is from 9:22
THE KOREA ISSUE IS DUE TO TOO MANY IMPORTS VIA APPLE
My boyfriend's phone was supposed to be delivered today and is also held up in the Korea/mechanical issue... I found this thread online if it helps anyone explaining that these products would get into the states by morning Friday:
I have just been stuck in Korea for the past 3 days. I just spoke with UPS, and for you, /u/mikeharrison_ and /u/IArrivalI you might be interested in their response:
Me: ...But, the package has stayed in the same location for 3 days.
Jose M.: I deeply apologize for the delay and the inconvenience this delay may cause. It seems that all Apple packages have encountered a delay in transit due to Apple operating plans and the delivery dates are being affected.
Me: Apple operating plans? What does that mean? And, how do Apple operating plans affect UPS if the package is already in your company's possession?
Jose M.: Due to special Apple operating plans, scheduled delivery dates fluctuate on U.S. imports.
Me: So, does Apple have the package still or does UPS?
Jose M.: We have it in our posession but since this is coming from outside the country the delivery date is not guaranteed since it has to go through customs.
Jose M.: Due to special Apple operating plans, scheduled delivery dates fluctuate on U.S. imports.
Doesn't really say much, but what I got from this is I'll probably be getting it next week </3
Edit: From UPS per a member on macrumors:
It shows that we have a contractual agreement with some shippers, which limits the amount of packages that can be handed over to UPS on any given day, when this amount is exceeded, as in this case, the packages may experience delays. We need first to complete those packages that were given to us in previous days before we can export those that were recently shipped. My best advise is to keep on tracking the package on ups.com for further updates.
Edit 2: Apple says shipping estimates will be updated later today on the UPS website and your product should definitely be coming sooner than the UPS website would have you believe.

Just spoke to a UPS shipping logistics supervisor who explained to me that all iPhone packages (with a Korean arrival date of 9/20 or 9/21) currently held up in Korea will be out of Korea tonight and in the US by tomorrow morning.
I then spoke to a management rep at the Apple Online Store who stated that all packages currently in Asia have been upgraded to next-day delivery. He assured me that I would have my phone either tomorrow or Saturday at the latest.

Anybody see movement for iPhone with October 4-October 10 delivery window? Mine has been processing since I pre-ordered on September 9. (Black iPhone 7+ 32 Gb T-Mobile) I know I need to be patient but it's just so hard. I placed an order on September 9 at 00 hours 22 minutes

at the bottom of the thread it appears that they were told by apple that these phones would be in the US sometime this morning (friday) Checking flight aware there is a flight out of korea in a 7 hours and then the flight is 5 hours then there is a flight from anchorage to louisville 14 hours from now which is the route I would assume it would take. So if the phones make the anchorage flight in 14 hours and then ride the 5 hours to Louisville they would be able to make deliveries by Saturday for promised deliveries that were held up today. I'm betting your ups scans are updated to show arriving in Alaska in 12 hours with an updated delivery date of the 24th ... just my own speculation but I"m watching pretty close since my boyfriend is out of town and i need to be here to receive the package.
My iPhone 7 Plus, Jet Black, 128 GB, ordered at 12:10am PDT on Sep 9, with scheduled delivery date of Sep 26-Oct 4, arrived today after a delay due to mechanical failure. Yes! It's very nice.
Are you in the US? If so Did your UPS delivery date update to today or did it show up while UPS was still indicating a mechanical delay.
I am so sorry, but I now went for the Beats Solo 3, after testing them a bit in the Apple Store.
I think they are quite expensive and not worth every cent (I think they are 100$ too much), but that is fine with me. The quality is also good enough for me (I love strong basses with electronic music) and 40h battery life is just crazy.
I just got a bit pissed, since I am often switching with headphones between iPhone and Mac and I had just too many cables floating around here.
Also it might be just my imagination, but I think the EarPods need more Battery life than Bluetooth headphones.
When I had the EarPods in my iPhone, the percentage went down far quicker than with my bluetooth headphones. Haven't noticed a difference between Beats Solo 3 and my old Parrot Zik in terms of battery life drain on the iPhone. Not sure if there is a benefit on the iPhone through W1 chip.
