iPhone 7/7+ Apple.com Pre-Order Thread

That's odd. iPhone 7+ Black 128GB with confirmation received Sept 9, 3:14 AM ET
Finally shipped but via FEDEX with shipment originating from California and
scheduled for Sept 28 delivery

In CA also: my daughter's regular 7 came via Fedex yesterday. Every other iPhone I've ordered has come UPS. I thought it odd that they used FEDEX this time.

I spoke with 2 apple reps yesterday who told me that UPS's delivery updates and tracking statuses are messed up and they assured me my phone would be delivered today.

I was told the same thing. They said the only thing that is accurate right now is the delivery date estimate on your Orders page on the apple site. Even when I first got my shipment notification my est delivery date has always been september 23rd on the apple site. This is the only thing giving me a little faith that I might still see it today.

At the very least Im hoping UPS updates and shows the package arriving in the US so that I can then request it be held at a UPS store and then go pick it up on saturday and not have to wait until monday.

I'm now showing a 9/23 9:30 PM departure scan from Korea. It doesn't directly match up with either flight in the air, but I don't know if it should match exactly.

I do not have problems with using a GSM, My questions is whether I could use a 3rd Party MVNO GSM sim which is compatible with T Mobile bandwidths from the very first day (Since I paid for the phone in full and there are no obligations to T Mobile), or would I have to use T Mobile for a while before I can ask them to unlock it for me.

If you bought it in full then it is unlocked and from my understanding as long as it's gsm it works.

Exact same order, only about an hour earlier. Still processing and no cc charge. I'd be curious to see if we move our statuses at the same time or close.

One more data point: 7+ 256mb Matte Black AT&T, ordered 2:34am PDT. Delivery date 10/4-10/10.

Same here, a lady I spoke with yesterday at Apple insisted the UPS info was not right and would be here today as promised. Another call to Apple this morning says today. I am wondering, has anyone actually missed the Apple quotes dates (forget what UPS said)? I know most are either 9/23 or 9/26 from Apple.

If you bought it in full then it is unlocked and from my understanding as long as it's gsm it works.

Same here. I really can't complain too much because I was supposed to get my phone between oct. 18-31st. I'm still getting it a month early. I'm more frustrated about how UPS can't handle their job

I was just telling someone that exact thing! I wasn't supposed to get my phone for awhile either but it shipped so now it's UPS's responsibility. And they messed up.

Am in the 9/23 7:12PM departure scan only from Hong Kong. Must say that it is heartening to be in this cozy severe weather related etc. delayed group if it wasn't for the fact that we are all getting screwed together. Got to get the old phone out to Gazelle and fortunate that they give you so much time. Feel I am better off checking this posting than either Apple or UPS. Apple please dump UPS for Fed Ex for next iPhone.

It's just different time zone. On UPS website its local date/time (country) and on apple website its your timezone.

The UPS time is local time and the apple site is est time.

Has anyone found the flight number to see if it's going to HK or AK?

EDIT: Might be UPS99? Left around 1042PM though so it doesn't match UPS departure time.

I ordered the exact same model as you & it's for AT&T. I'm on the east coast, NYC. I did pre-order on the 9th but didn't get my order in until like 10-15min after 3AM. So I was shocked to see my phone being shipped so soon. But UPS ruined my excitement with their incompetency lol. Did you get your pre-order in before me? I've read ppl say that AT&T.Verizon phones have been shipping earlier than T-Mobile/Sprint. Don't know how true it is or why that would be the case if it is true

That's what I was thinking. I'll check tracking around when it lands again.

If mine is on that flight hopefully I get a Sat delivery but I am not holding my breath.

Is that the ups99A flight you mentioned earlier? Mine hasn't left yet but my phone also got released by customs after yours did. Was curious if it wasn't the 99a if you had an idea when that would be leaving? Maybe mine would be on that flight
