Can someone help me to understand this. JB 128GB phones are going out to people who ordered from AT&T after 9/9 AND now this configuration is trickling in to Apple stores. What gives?
[doublepost=1476479437][/doublepost]

I had a chat with an Apple rep today about this. First of all, he assured me that my order was "processing along just fine" So I asked about inventory of my exact model showing up in stores across the country, and that I didn't mind waiting but what was the point of preordering if someone can just walk in and purchase one instead of waiting 4-6 weeks for a preorder? He told me that the inventory at the stores was for the IUP customers only and that not just anyone can walk in and purchase them? Has anyone here been able to walk in an Apple Store and buy a JB7+? I think they have but not sure...

Tried to do a pickup and they said my account was on hold? Wth?

Is it on hold because you already have a device on order for your account?

I didn't buy a JB7+, but I did just buy a RG7+ that was listed as reserved for iUP - I just walked in and said I wanted to buy one outright. They made an appointment for me (which was three hours later) and I came back and bought it no problem. I can't imagine they would treat the JB any differently.

Hey guys!

I was waiting for the release in my country. Today is the pre-sale but is too damn expensive compared to the US (350 dollars more). So i've decided to buy the sim free iPhone 7+ 128.

I was wondering if Apple delivers on time, says 2-4 weeks to Florida. And the person who is coming with the phone arrive to my country early december. i just don't want the phone to arrive when the person already left lol

Can somebody please help me with this? Is always on time between the weeks is shows on the site? Thanks!!!

Edit: The delivery guy ask for the credit card to give the phone to the person? Or they just leave the box at the address?

I've been around here from last 20 odd days. And I can tell you that people are getting their orders on time or much before time. There could be 1 or 2 cases where it all went wrong. But it's shipping on time.

Also it depends what color you choosing. If you select Jet Black, then you might want to think twice as there are many people out here who have ordered at the time of pre-order and are still waiting from last 35 days and apart of all that, they have November delivery schedule. Also shipping time for other colours is 3-4 weeks so that might help you better.

Hope this helps.

My local store has a few 7+ in stock but not many and not the color or storage that I want.

http://www.istocknow.com/live/

That's so strange because Apple shows no stock of any iPhone 7+ available anywhere. It's so annoying lol.

Just placed an order for pickup in NYC today JB+128gb hopefully it goes through before I cancel my
Preorder on 9/9

Where in NYC?

I think I'm going to try to do the same thing if it's available cause this waiting game is too long and I need it before 11/8.

I don't think it is on hold because there is a device order, I also bought an iPhone 7+ black, while waiting for my JB I returned it on Tuesday, it was 32gb, I bought it from Apple. Com and picked it up couple hours later.

Or could be in fact because there were too many people doing the same that Apple put a kind of lock to avoid to buy the iPhone and return it some days later.

I called apple to see if they could switch my 7+ black 256 ATT to the new unlocked / no sim model - was told I would have to cancel the existing order and start over with new order - i figured that was going to happen but called anyways just to make sure my order was cancelled completely- I'm buying at full retail so I figured that the unlocked / no sim model is a better choice since I'm paying full price anyway and waiting til Thanksgiving - I have gotten a new iPhone at launch for as long as I can remember but this iPhone 7+ must be under some real limited supply or, more likely this is some sort of marketing technique they came up with ???

I too had a word with Apple Customer Care for the Sim-Free iPhone 7+ but they said you can't purchase in stores currently. But I can order online for which the delivery time is 3-4 weeks. That's impossible for me to do since I need the phone by 11/8.

So here I am, still waiting for Preparing For Shipment, while it's Still Processing. Story of my life! lol

Hey just wanted to report back. I had an order on Apple.com for a MB iPhone 7+ 128GB. I've been checking istocknow.com just to keep an eye on inventory in store just for fun. Happened to check yesterday and both stores here in Charlotte, NC had both Matte Black and Jet Black in 128/256GB iPhone 7+ sizes. I went ahead and reserved a Matte 128GB and picked it up in store :D

I have to say, I've been enjoying being back on an iPhone. Entire experience has been great, from in store to getting used to the OS again coming from Android.

I just checked online again and both stores in Charlotte, NC still have Jet Black in 128/256GB Plus'. Looks like supply is starting to catch up with demand ;)
For those of you not near an Apple store, hang in there! I'm sure you'll be getting it sooner than expected.

EDIT: woops, this was for the Verizon network

Apple made a big fail with iPhone 7 Plus. Month of waiting? WTF?! Why they release it in september when the production is not able to keep up? It's a JOKE!

It's a combination. I agree, they miscalculated the amount of interest in the 7+, and Jet Black is still only 6 of 10 chassis passing QC. It is very time intensive. They have not been able to ramp up production as fast as demand. Not an excuse, but the Note 7 issue has again doubled the demand for the 7+. IMO, while this has been tough by the first week in November there should be ample 7+'s in the wild. While many desire it, the Global Phone (No Simm) most likely has just started production as we see it popping up. So, yes, it can be seen as a fail to many. However, I suspect at the Q1 Conference Call we will see numbers far beyond expectation. :apple:

iPhone 7 is widely available and delivery time is 1-3 business days while iPhone 7+ from 3-4 weeks and Jet Black 6-8 weeks.

Honestly, even I am surprised about the iPhone 7 Plus demand and the Jet Black. It clearly shows that Apple thought iPhone 7 would be in more demand compared to iPhone 7 Plus.

Sticking to this thread, iPhone 7 was having 2-3 weeks of delivery time just a few days back and now it has 1-3 days. It is possible that iPhone 7+ may have less delivery time in coming days.

That's great for you guys!

But it really is ridiculous that there's ANY available inventory of the JB 7+ that didn't go to preorders first.

Just wanted to share my experience, 128gb jb 7+ Att

I ordered 9/9 :22 and was given a November delivery date. On 9/26 my local store had a matte black 7+ in store. I was able to reserve it without cancelling the pre order (just in case), when I got there and they confirmed it was indeed there I cancelled the preorder and within a minute the upgrade eligibility reset and I walked out with my new phone. I am actually glad I got the matte as it's always in a case, and I don't have to worry about scratches when I sell next year.

Hope you guys get yours soon but it may be faster to find one local.

Who says about making a phone for every single person? What's the problem to plan release date for october/november, when stock will be larger and available for more users? Do you see sense in waiting a month for the phone?
