Hey everyone! Can anyone tell me if ou think I'll get my phone earlier than it says?

AT&T 7+ 128gb Black ordered on the Apple Store app at 2:05am pacific.

My wife and I couldn't pay off our next plan installments until 2 AM because the AT&T website option to check for upgrades and what it would cost to upgrade was down until 2 AM. We didn't find that out until we couldn't upgrade with Apple at midnight. It was actually very sad and disappointing because we were both picking our phones and adding them to our carts at 12:02!! But we waited until 2 AM, paid our way to upgrade, and finally got our pre-order through the Apple store at around 2:05 AM. She got a iPhone 7 Plus rose gold 128Gb and hers has a ship date of 6 to 8 days. Meanwhile, mine is just stuck in processing with a delivery date of October 4 through October 10. Can anyone shed a little hope over here? I know we ordered a little later, i'm just hoping that two hours until launch wasn't too much ...

Well, there's definitely only one answer that you're looking for here and I completely understand! Ha! In all honesty, I've been in the same situation for the past two launches (even if you are refreshing your browser/app right at launch, you still stand little chance of getting a true launch day phone). I will say, both times I did receive my phone a few days ahead of what was quoted. I wouldn't expect a full week earlier or anything like that, but I would say there's definitely a chance it shows up early. Nonetheless, I don't work for Apple of course and am just speaking from personal experience. Good luck!

I was just wondering - what the different statuses really mean. Processing - got the order, need to procure the item for the order. Preparing for shipment - need to print the label and put it on the box?

Does anyone have a Jet Black 7+ that is preparing to ship? I'm still processing. It always takes my orders FOREVER to change.

Processing - basically they got your order number and it's in the queue for fulfillment
Preparing for Shipment - Order is being officially charged to your CC, picked, packed, and yes, label printed.
Shipped - well...shipped, lol, you'll have tracking information at this point.
Delivered - the climax of it all, the moment we're all waiting for...hopefully before October in my case ;-)

Same here. I ordered a 128GB Jet Black 7+ on T-Mobile at 12:09 PST with a ship date of Oct 4-10. It still shows processing

Pretty much what I thought. This is super nerdy, but I would love to see a documentary about this whole process. Production, preorder prep logistics and bandwidth/server capacity, order fulfillment, shipping logistics. I mean think about it, MILLIONS of people are ordering these devices within seconds/minutes/hours of each other. That it even works at all is an herculean achievement of the modern age.

If this means anything - just looked at the Apple Store and ship times for 128 and 256 Jet Black ATT phones are now listed as 3-4 weeks, this morning it was November.

Just placed my order. Im moving up to a 7 plus 128gb black, and it looks like Im waiting till early october for my phone.

See that irks me. I mean no offense but I ordered about 5 minutes after I could get into the store, like 2:15am central time. Ordered the same phone and got Oct 4 - 10 date.

We have identical orders but mine went through at 12:03AM PST. I got the same delivery window
I've heard of people getting their preorders delivered early, but Jet Black seems to be in high demand this year. Hopefully it comes in soon; I'm excited for my first iPhone

Absolutely! Haha, would be cool if they followed one random phone from production all the way to the customer's door step and maybe even that random person's review of the process, using the phone once they have it for a week, etc.

Pre-ordered the Jet Black iPhone 7 128gb at full price. What are the chances I can get a refund and opt into Apple's Upgrade Program?

Typically, I buy the phone at full price and sell the only one year-old phone on eBay. Generally, this results in me paying $300/yr for a new iPhone. However, with Apple's Upgrade Program I could get AppleCare and spend roughly $430/yr for a new iPhone. Sure, the result is the same year after year if I just bought AppleCare with the phone when I buy it at full price ($300 + $129 for AppleCare). But, the Upgrade program would save me the hassle of selling my old phone for the same result.

Only the 7. The 7 Plus still says November

Actually most of the 7 Pluses now saw 2 to 3 weeks on Apple.com (except jet black)

I think many of the dates overall were WAY overestimated if they are still ship in 2 to 3 weeks 2 days later now.

I would never do the iPhone Upgrade Program especially now that this year sucked for them. Very few of the upgrade program's users could get a phone on launch day or even now for a few months after because they couldn't get a store appointment. They must have a store appointment because in order to get a new phone they have to inspect the old one.

But to answer your question, it *might* be possible if you go into your local Apple Store and talk to them about it.
