I've seen people say they got their shipment changed to expedited but when I talked to a rep, he said that simply wasn't true, so I don't know if we are being lied to or what

Do the serial numbers only show up in your support profile if you purchased applecare with the preorder? I am waiting to add applecare until I cancel it on my current phone and get refunded the remaining amount once the new one arrives. That way I can put the refund towards the applecare for the new phone.

Expedited or not, you'll still receive it no earlier than launch day, or Sept 16th.

I'm hoping mine is the same. If it doesn't improve by next Wednesday, I'm going to call Apple to cancel and just stop in to a store that day.

I'm in the EXACT same boat and I'm thinking about doing the same. Crazy. But maybe just crazy enough. Will you be going to a carrier store?

Exactly the same for me.
Like a few others mine clearly said 9/16/16 when I ordered (AT&T Black 7+ 128) and then I received an e-mal at 3:12 EST saying 9/27-9/29. I even thought for a while the e-mail was just an error being that 9/16 was clear throughout the ordering process and at checkout.
Same exact boat. Bought the 7+ 32 and got my e-mail at 3:14 saying it changed. Has anyone that had that happen to them get bumped up to an earlier date yet?

I only used the original Apple care that came standard with my phone that's means I can get a refund for the apple care plus

Why do you think you made a mistake? Is it because for now on you have to pick it up in the store?

Because of the problems current members had Friday morning trying to preorder. I did this program so I could get a new iPhone around launch every year. If I can't do that next year it kind of defeats the purpose of my idea.

I am in the upgrade program too. But when I went to preorder, the only color choice at the three stores in my state was rose gold. I made a reservation for it. I thought about seeing about purchasing a second phone to see if I could get it in matte black and could have but decided not too because of cost. Calling Apple will not help you. They are not going to deliver any until the 16th.

i got mine changed and my dates went from 26-3 to 22-29...no reason to lie

I ordered a 7+ rose gold 32g and my estimated delivery date is 9/16 but mine still says "processing items" so if yours is preparing for shipment, that means that your order is attached to a phone in their warehouse that is waiting to ship. so you're a step ahead of me and my ETA is 9/16.
