When I looked into EE sim only plans you don't get roaming etc, that's only available on the max plans that come with the phone. But you are entitled to 6 months Apple Music and BT sport.
Is it a great deal? With the combined cost does it not work out more expensive per month? Albeit for only 12 months.

Am pretty sure you wont need ID if buying outright. Just as long as your have the email on your phone of the reservation that should be ample.
Definitely call in to confirm, if not just so you can say you did when you arrive. Would've thought that just having the email would be fine, if not surely you've got your bank cards with a matching name?
Anyway guys, it's September 23rd. Time to call EE about my upgrade, wish me luck! I'm OK waiting as long as they offer up a 256GB 7 and can match what I pay per month. Upfront cost is fine, just don't want to break that £40 p/m barrier.
Just had a phonecall from the store I pre-ordered. I can take a Matte Black Plus 128gb today instead of the Jet Black Plus I ordered. They seem to think there's no movement on Jet Black for another 2 - 3 weeks.
What's everyone's opinion? Once it's in a case does it really matter? I'll upgrade it next year anyway so I'm not tied to it for life.

I got offered a 128gb 7+ on £65.99 per month with no upfront fee. Would have preferred to be around £40 per month too but the 4GEE 25gn and 40gb max plans let you upgrade after 1 year so that was v attractive to em.
However all a bit academic for me now as I got direct from Apple while I have been waiting on EE. So need to call looking for a good SIM only upgrade deal instead.
I pre ordered the JB via EE and Apple (due November) I picked up the matte at my local Apple Store last night and it is really nice. I think I will still have the niggling doubt about whether I should wait for the JB but as you say once it is in a case there is no difference. I have 2 weeks to return the matte black if EE or Apple get one in stock for me! I did also think that maybe next year I'll get the JB........unless of course they have some other super in demand new colour!

Couldn't upgrade yesterday as I didn't have my ID (passport / DL). Will go back next week to do that. Got the phone and it is a thing of beauty. A crime to cover it up with a case. Software wise doesn't feel much different from 6.
Managed to reserve / pick up a 128GB Black from Brent Cross yesterday and cancelled my EE upgrade so there's now one less in the EE queue for the JB 128GB

Just an update from me, I took delivery of my 128GB Matt Black iPhone 7 Plus from EE today - ordered at about 11AM on the phone on pre-order day.

Ordered mine online at 9:14am the same model as yours. I'm just going to sack EE off I reckon. I'm on the 4GEEMax plan which allows an update every year, but I can't see it being a pleasent experience from what's happened this year. It's £65.99 a month to get the pleasure. Ha, no thanks

I know your pain, was in the same position with Vodafone whom I've left to join EE this year when I ordered my 6 Plus in 2014.
TBH I don't have much choice on provider as I do a lot of European travel so need good rates so it was EE, 3 or Vodafone. I think the supply has been crap to all providers though. Hope you get yours soon!
It does include unlimited EU Roaming minutes and texts but not the 15GB data from the Max Plan, I think it's 500MB EU Data.

Agreed it's £74/month for the first 12 months but includes AppleCare which is £10/month over 12 months. Also if I'm patient months 21-24 are only £25/month compared with paying EE £65.99 saving £160. So overall I think I'm just ahead.
