you can upgrade with remaining balance on your phone 6s just dont send it back if you wish to keep devie then you will be paying for both devices monthly or once you receive your iphone 7 it will come with a prepaid label for you to send back the previous device and you will be credited for it. correct me if im wrong anyone?
Ahhh, I see.

So basically I can order tonight on EIP, and then pay up the rest of the JoD tomorrow, when i can either go into a store, or wait on the phone line?

My thoughts too, but I need to pay off the JoD 6s device too...

Or am I able to "upgrade" online and then pay it off separately?

E.G. should I call now to pay it off, and then complete the order online?

If I were you I will call now and find out the details. (Use phone speakerphone while waiting) Grab a soda and a snack. I waited for quite a while. Maybe you will be able to pay off the JoD over the phone and then ask if that payment will be recognize by the system right away.

So, question:

Will i get charged the BS $20 upgrade fee if I entirely pay off my JoD lease + use that phone towards the iPhone 7 EIP deal?
If you do the promo and sign up for the $12 jump feature you can ask the rep on the phone to wave the assisted service charge.9 times out of ten they will happily oblige.

You can have two phones financed under the same phone number. Do not do an upgrade where T-Mobile is expecting you to trade in the phone things can get hary. If you want to keep you phone and finance another one let the rep know you want to do a regular line upgrade and keep paying on your current phone that way T-Mobile does not expect a phone back that will cause problem on you account later.

So if I have a device balance of around $100 left on my JoD iPhone 6s, and I want a 7+ 128GB, what's the best way? It's all pretty confusing.

You also have a residual purchase price on jod, you could ether pay it off and trade it in for a iPhone 7 or you could just jod upgrade to the 7. You will have to run the numbers to see if paying the phone off + the difference for the 128 gb is a better deal than just paying the $149+$28/mo

This thread is giving me flashbacks from the nightmare that was the iPhone 6 pre-order

Does anyone know if the pre-order process is different if I plan to trade in a phone for the free iPhone 7?

Debating about whether to stay up until 3am or order at 7am when I'll be up for the day...

So I have to pay $149 to use JOD to get the 128 plus?

I wonder if they'll let me bill it to my account. I'm in good standing and have NEVER missed a payment...

Doesn't the amount you have to pay depend on whether or not your current phone is fully paid off?

They won't let you bill the $149 to your account because it's a down payment.

The amount you have to pay is determined by the type of upgrade you are doing jod, jump ect.

OK. I did JoD last year and got my 128 Gb 6s+ for $199+$22/month (after monthly $7 promo discount). I have not paid off the lease yet. I have about 6 more months to go.

I know I can JoD again for either the 7+ 128 or the 256Gb. So, do I start "fresh" and have to pay the $149/$249 upfront charge and then the month non-discounted $28/$27 lease fee? No credit of any sort carry over to the new device?

If I have to pay everything like new, then I'd rather keep my current device and just finish the lease and then buy it for the discounted residual. That was a great deal back then...

What makes jump different from jump on demand in preordering?
Jump lets you upgrade once a year or when your phone is halfway paid off it has a 24mo financing you pay the tax upfront because you own the phone at the end of the 24 months.
Jump on demand lets you upgrade 3 times a year or 6 times in 18 months. It's a lease so don't own the phone at the end of the 18 months that's why you don't pay tax. If you want to own the phone at the end of the 18 months you can pay the residual amount wich is usually the amount of the last 6 months of payments plus tax. I don't know the exact reason why you can't order jod online that is still a mystery lol.

I want to return my Samsung note 7 that was recalled and get the iPhone 7+. How should I go about it? Should I call and order the iPhone tonight or should I take the note 7 to a Tmobile store tomorrow? I don't want the phone to get back ordered.

But jump works online? Last year I preordered in store out of convenience but I want to preorder online tonight with just jump.

You can do a regular line upgrade tonight without worrying about trading your note 7 in and then come in to a store in the morning to return your note 7.
You can preorder online for regular jump upgrades.

I think I might try the Apple Upgrade Program this year. Just pay off my JoD 6s and sell it on Craigslist.

Does that include jump on demand upgrades?
