Yeah I would think we are maybe only less than 30 percent of the buyers (black/Jett black plus in non 32gb sizing) so apple probably felt it made most sense to take care of the 70 percent of buyers and I can't say I blame them. I ordered BEFORE 3AM eastern on pre order start and still had a 9/19-26 ship date which means imo the phones never existed and the preordering was just a measure so apple could be able to place an order on how many phones they need for the new colors. There is historic data on every other model besides the black models so they really don't have any historic data to make estimates compared to having existing data on which color ways were already popular thus it makes no sense to potentially over produce something people may not flock to (yeah you can guess but even then out of desperation many buyers will just purchase the available color way at the time if it has a sooner ship date). So pretty much this imo this was a gauge to see who REALLY wanted the new black colors because someone on the fence would have picked another color once they saw the ship dates. When I logged into apple eventually I saw the gold plus had a launch day ship but it's not the color I wanted which is why I stuck with black (ended up canceling my apple order because T-Mobile had a sooner ship date).

I still haven't gotten tracking info. When I track package from T-Mobile, it gives me the tracking number but tells me that it couldn't locate the shipment details.

Did anyone just pre-order the iPhone 7 regularly with no trade-in? It wasn't working for me (the trade-in) so I just placed the order like usual. Twitter rep told me they'll be sending instructions out later but I'm afraid I'm going to get billed for the EIP. I'm trading in an iPhone btw to make it free.
I preordered without the trade in because the system wasn't working. The rep I was on the phone with told me I can just call them back and get the trade in value and change it to the Jump update later. When I called back another rep told me that's wrong and I would have to cancel my order and start all over to use Jump. Sooo now I'm stuck with 2 phones...

Ordered around 6 am 9/9 7 plus 128 go it was saying shipping date from 16-28 and this morning I checked it said shipped and I've been charged on my card. I cannot track it yet because they just did it today and u know it takes time for them to update the system. But yay I thought I wasn't getting it this Friday. I had a hard time ordering it via tmobile I did jod

Phone rep also told me I had to cancel and re-do it with her (for the $20 fee?). Twitter rep who was also on the executive team told me to just hold off and they'll contact me later about it. I wish these reps weren't all so misinformed...

I dont get why on tmo it says shipped, is it really shipped? Bc my ups hasnt chnaged status from processing! Grrrrr

Dude why would it change if it is still wednesday? ALL PHONES HAVE NEXT DAY SHIPPING for friday so essentially it will move tomorrow

I swear man some of you guys need to read up a little and use your brain

Don't worry. If you ordered early enough you should get your phone by Friday. Supposedly, not as many people are upgrading this time around. Just us "need a new iPhone every year freaks". Hope my 7+ 256gb black gets here

Tmobile set a record for pre-orders, just saying...

I think that most of us knew that but this thread is easier to find because it's a forum sticky and shows at the top of the forum. That Plus thread can get buried very quickly and be a pain to find. Plus, it's not that hard to just skip the posts of people stating that their regular 7s are being shipped.

Same but what you can do is get the first one you ordered activate it then when you get your jump order sim swap so you can get the credit then send the first iphone 7 back because you will still be in your 14 day window for returns..

I am not calling in to fix this yet. I am just going to wait till have the phone in hand and figure out what to do from there. I wan't zero risk of my order getting cancelled. They know tons people's trade in's were messed up, so it won't come a surprise to them. If for some reason I do get stuck with the phone I'll just sell my 6 and move on with EIP. But I thinking they are going to get something lined out for us. I do agree it would be nice if you could get the same answer from the reps.
