Apple really gets a high off this nonsense.
Tell that to Tim Cook. That's how Apple keeps in gross margins as high as possible. GREED! Of course, if iPhones were made in USA (which is silly since 90% of key raw materials mined in China) none of us could afford to pay for an iPhone since Apple would just raise price to keep up its margins.
I ordered my 128 GB Jet Black 7 Plus at 2:51 AM EST and have seen no movement on it yet. My estimated ship date is 9/19 - 9/26. How's everyone else looking?
It's becoming more apparent that my iPhone 7 jet black is taking until November to get here, as I haven't even been charged yet.
The worst part is I can't cancel my preorder because they said I used my Jump on it, and it would take days before I could order using my Jump again. So that means I can't just go into T-Mobile and buy it on launch day. What a mess

That's awful. I was hoping to get mine on launch day, but it's been processing ever since I preordered it. I kind of regret getting the jet black now.
I'm in the same boat all we can do is hope it doesn't actually take 2 months. That's an insane amount of time.
Wait a minute... I'm famous in my family for ordering Christmas stuff as Amazon's counter says "order within 1 minute..." I have ordered stuff at 10pm and had it next day. If tmo or UPS is going home at 2pm today there will be riots in the streets.
They by no means are shutting it down at 2. It's not within bounds of realistic thinking.
I love it when newbs come into threads thinking they know it all.
Companies are different. They have agreements for batches and bulk. You can go from nothing to a package on your door step in under 7 hours.
There will likely be a wave if devices getting shipped out late tonight into 1am tomorrow that will be shipped and delivered.
Happened to me in the two prior years, same shipper.

I ordered on 9/9 at 0900CST the following
Iphone 7 128 Silver
Iphone 7+ 128 Matte Black
I have not seen movement on either. Signed the EIP for the order on 9/9 at 1000 CST
you can't just assume anyone that ordered a 7 will get theirs on friday. My shipping date ranges are 9/27-10/10

I ordered 4 hrs prior to you. same ship dates. I'm still optimistic about Friday. things can move pretty fast.
It's a job and by local standards it's a good paying job but comes with lots of production pressure.
I am going to go out on a limb here and say I will get charged in the next 36 hours and definitley will have 7+ in hand by the end of day Saturday at the latest.

Pretty soon we are going to need safety nets outside everyone's house that preorder and hasn't got charged.
They are just happy and excited. Let them be. Nothing wrong with that. Many of us are happy too .
