Signal strength:
iPhone 6s -102
iPhone 7 -92

Which means the signal is BETTER on the new iPhone 7!
How can you see signal strength?

From what he said when I spoke to him(the rep) was that all he sees on his end is that the phone is ready to be dropped at the warehouse. So I asked him which one and he replied "it doesn't tell me which one" and that the phone is back ordered right now. So to me, nobody has any idea what's going on and they are just coming up with info out of their a**.
Oh and I forgot to mention when he was telling me my phone is ready to be dropped at the warehouse, he also said I should be getting my phone next week. But a few minutes later now apparently my phone is back ordered. LOL

My thing is how do you do a promotion and don't expect these kinds of number ?! At least a ball park would've been a better guess

The thing is the promotion was done by T-Mobile, not Apple. Now T-Mobile obviously underestimated here possibly because they thought with no contracts in place and the already lowered demand for smartphone updgrades, they would need something to just match up. I am pretty sure I am in the same boat as most other upgraders - Wouldn't have pre-ordered it had it not been for the T-Mo promotion. Heck, probably wouldn't even have upgraded. So yea, there wasn't much time for change of plans.

Isn't this the first time there was only one week rather than two weeks before pre-order and release?

Pretty sure that coupled with the lower expectations based on original forecasts and naysayers out there, the plus orders shocked the hell out of them, and they no where had enough produced.

That and figure they use the pre-order as a nice way to control inventory and supply and logistics.....just pretend it was the 2 week window. I got my phone on 9/25 last year AKA release day and ordered it on 9/11....
Its not the first time, actually most launches were like this one. Only the past couple were 2 week gaps.

Just left a T-Mobile store here in Atlanta, Ga and was told that they have no 7+ around town but they are expecting a shipment in on Monday of iPhone 7+ in only the 256 gb size. Take that for what it's worth.
I think we should be happy they didnt do the Plus iPhones in store.. I mean it sucks in one retrospect. But for those that pre ordered, it seems more appropriate that they receive their devices before hand. I always thought that dumb in years past, that you preorder the phone and dont receive it until october. Though you could walk in launch day and buy one.

I don't get why people are pissed. T-Mobile gave everyone, what seems like accurate shipping dates. They knew before hand what stock they'd have allocated. It would be one thing if they gave everyone release day dates for shipping, and THEN delayed them through November, but they didn't. They gave everyone fair shipping dates. Why is everyone pissed?

My boss was pissed that they ended the promotion yesterday for Simple Choice customers. The reason we don't join T-Mobile One is because they only give 5 GB of LTE tethering while Unlimited Simple Choice plan gives you 14GB of LTE tethering. Yes I tether often due to work

i would guess that next week, by mid week we should see movement on the 7+ black and jet black models. That's what VZW is telling their customers.

Apple did indeed, exercise their right to divert carrier stock to themselves and even then it wasn't that much. They were simply overwhelmed on the 7+ orders.

Well waiting for 11/01 - 11/30 will be long but worth ...
The more I'm seeng iPhone 7 pictures the more I want the 7+.

The exact opposite actually. Hence the class action lawsuit suit that was started, by Apple Upgrade peeps. They were the ones who got the shafts this year. Apple has tried to make amends by reserving a few at Apple retail locations for them...but it was only a bandaid on a severed leg.

Please elaborate on how they were shafted.

So essentially, Apple screwed over everyone else just to satisfy their iPhone Upgrade Program participants. Make some happy and piss off many more.

Mathematically speaking, make some happy and make equal number of people piss off. And statistically speaking, it is in their favor overall for brand reputation to do so. Spreading those iPhones over 4 carriers, different colors and sizes, there's no way everyone at those carriers would have got their phone. At least by having ALL of those options in Apple's hands, they can ensure to meet the pre-orders of most iPhone Upgraders' Program. Just because things didn't go your way doesn't mean everyone else is wrong. I am in the same boat as you but I don't ignore the larger picture.

Please elaborate on how they were shafted.

They were added to a special queue while pre-ordering, namely the one with much lesser inventory because Apple didn't anticipate their behavior correctly. Thereby by doing so, they were deprieved of their equal opportunity as everyone else to place an order for upgrade on launch day. Basically, we all were screwed only because of system crashes and overload. But they were destined to be screwed even if that was not the problem.

The following is directly from Apple's Terms and conditions of the program (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY!!):

Upgrade Option
  1. Conditions for Upgrade Option. You may exercise your Upgrade Option to purchase a new eligible iPhone, subject to availability, under all of the following conditions:

Edit: As you can see, there was NO promise of a date or model!!! The same for the rest of us and that is exactly how it should have stayed. Some of them got exactly what they wanted. Others didn't! Just like the rest of us!

I was just reporting news. It's not an opinion. Google it. There are tons of stories about it. The "subject to availability" had nothing to do with this particular issue for those Upgrade plan peeps.

Apple admitted they goofed up.

Well makes sense right. T-Mobile's promotion actually backfired on them. Limiting Simple Choice Customers is just one step in getting out of this promotion. Think about it this way - If you got it with Simple Choice Plan, despite your delivery dates, you actually got pretty lucky!
