Has to due with flight patters and a lot more land throughout the sea travel just a in case an emergency landing is needed also has to do with wind patterns. Figured this out one time when I had to fly from NY to CHI just to get to Dallas one time.
Can I ask why you're annoyed? Your shipping estimate is still good for another 6 days. You could easily and most likely will, get yours in the next week or less. Millions called before 12am pst. I wouldn't get too hung up on that, as far as not getting it on release day. You're definitely in the second wave.

Why? Because they are charging and shipping out of order. All those that ordered prior to me should receive their phones before me, that is fair. Someone that orders 10+ hours after and is scheduled for shipping the week after should not be serviced prior. I'm annoyed at the process (or lack there of).
Am I glad to see movement? Absolutely, this gives me hope that the rest of us in the 9/19 - 9/26 range will get something relatively soon.

Good point. I drop my phone like 3 times a day, so I better stay away from cases like that. Plus, I don't pay for insurance..

See my earlier screenshot, for my 128GB iP7+ its $150 plus $80 tax. Maybe that's not what you're paying, but a lot of us are, so not wrong.
Only one that I know of so far. I have the 128GB Black plus and nothing yet. I don't think there is any rhyme or reason here lol. You and I have been here since the start.
JOD only charges taxes on the $150 down payment not the whole phone.

Well considering next Tuesday is the 27th. I might be waiting until my actual ship date lol!
I emailed him this morning because I reached out to the exec response team with no response. He got back to me personally in an hour. I am awaiting a call from the exec response team now.
I'm on the same boat. iPhone 7 plus black 128gb. Ordered at 1:10 PST. ETA I have is 09/19-09/26. First call for the agent. Signed EIP 10 minutes later, received confirmation 10 minutes later. Ordered through EIP. Still nothing so far, no charges or nothing.
I'm JOD and did get charged tax for the entire thing.
What are your monthly payments going to be? Mine are $30/month

"Ok, I did look at it and also spoke with someone higher then me, because you deserve it! All is not lost. Your order is on Partially Back Ordered so that means your date can change. I am not able to move you closer due to Apple are sending these phones out as fast as they can. I know this mistake was not your fault I wish we had that pull to put you ahead of other customers, but we do not. I am so sorry I know this is not what you want to hear."...
I asked what "partially backordered means and she said the following
"That means you can get pushed up. It can change to a closer date for you. Mine is in the same status, so we both are hoping for that text message that say your date has been changed... : ) Make sure you keep checking the status."
