Anyone who is going to the trade in promo that is getting the 7+ 128 confused about the pricing?
Here is my (simple version) math.
+$220 for the upgrade to 7+ and 128GB storage capacity.
-$150 for the down payment.
That leaves us with about $70 to be spread accross the EIP.
70/24 = ~$3/month, which makes sense. So why did I and everyone else get quoted for the $9.00/month?
--------------
In reality, this is what I am calculating with the receipts and such.
The $9.79/month (in my case) X 24 = $235 over the 24 months.
plus the $150 down payment brings me to a total of about $385 out of pocket for the total EIP...
------------
Now, my guess, and this is just a guess... is that the trade-in value needs to be deducted from the EIP once it is processed. I was told by the rep that I would get $165 credit for my Iphone 6 128. She did not explain further how this would work...
But, here is the math...
Take the $235 and subtract the $165 and we get $70. $70/24 = $3.
$3 X 24 = $70 (duh) + $150 (down payment) = $220, which is what it should be.
Does this make sense to anyone else or did my brain just explode on me?
