Anyone who is going to the trade in promo that is getting the 7+ 128 confused about the pricing?

Here is my (simple version) math.

+$220 for the upgrade to 7+ and 128GB storage capacity.
-$150 for the down payment.

That leaves us with about $70 to be spread accross the EIP.

70/24 = ~$3/month, which makes sense. So why did I and everyone else get quoted for the $9.00/month?

--------------
In reality, this is what I am calculating with the receipts and such.

The $9.79/month (in my case) X 24 = $235 over the 24 months.

plus the $150 down payment brings me to a total of about $385 out of pocket for the total EIP...

------------

Now, my guess, and this is just a guess... is that the trade-in value needs to be deducted from the EIP once it is processed. I was told by the rep that I would get $165 credit for my Iphone 6 128. She did not explain further how this would work...

But, here is the math...

Take the $235 and subtract the $165 and we get $70. $70/24 = $3.

$3 X 24 = $70 (duh) + $150 (down payment) = $220, which is what it should be.

Does this make sense to anyone else or did my brain just explode on me?

Whilst traveling in Iceland (I live in Seattle) I gave Tforce a call this morning to preorder. I got my EIP email about 10min after I hung up with the rep. Got a 329am PDT order time and my latest order status shows 9/27-10/10 ship window.

iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Matte Black

I have a business acct but not sure if that makes a difference.

Placed an order through Tmobile about an hour ago and still haven't received the email that I was supposed to sign within 24/48 hours

Any idea when it's gonna come?

Yikes, what a terrible experience with T-Mobile Jump On Demand today.
  • I stayed up last night and called 611 at exactly 3:01AM to place my preorder. The order wouldn't go through and the rep said she'd call me back in 30-45 minutes.
  • She never did. I fell asleep.
  • I called back again today. The rep told me everything was fine, the order had been placed successfully, and I should have received my EIP email. I hadn't. She checked and said it was queued to be sent and that I'd receive it within 72 hours. She confirmed I'd receive the phone on the 19th September.
  • A few hours later, I received a call from a strange 800 number. It was the same rep, and she left a voicemail stating she had made a mistake and the original order had actually been closed so now I had to place a new one.
  • Called back. Third rep couldn't even see the closed order and said I'd have to place a new order and that even though I'd stayed up to call in at 3:01AM, there was now no guarantee I'd receive the phone on the 19th because the orders were being filled in the order received and I was no longer at the front of the priority line.
What a mess! I am going to take my chances in the stores on the 19th, cancel my Jump On Demand program permanently and buy out my old iPhone to sell on eBay, and purchase the iPhone 7 outright from Apple. Will now have to wait 2-3 weeks to get it. Wish I'd just done that last night and didn't let T-Mobile mess me around.

Ordered a 7 Plus Jet Black 256GB. Originally quoted 9/27-10/24 for delivery. Got a manager on the phone and got it moved up to launch day delivery :)

Even worse, so some customers are getting special treatment while customers like me who don't demand to speak to a manager have to wait in line. Enough to make me want to switch carriers for my cell service too.
You just gotta treat the manager nicely on the phone. I explained how I got up early 6am eastern to preorder and the system was glitching. They sympathized.

How do I see transactions on my Tmobile account? I'm seeing nothing?

The lady was nice and cool and got the order number text but nothing else so I'm confused

That does help. But I just wish they had a place online where it explicitly states the steps in clear English for us that pre ordered last night so that there is no confusion.
I hear ya! I was happy to see the pop up that outlined a little bit, confirming some of what the rep told me. The CSRs are trying to drive a geo metro 0-60 in 3 seconds! iPhone preorder night is really extraordinary in volume, but I wish they could have added some servers or something. Maybe it doesn't justify the cost...only so many iPhones to go around!

Does anyone know how long the free iPhone 7 promo will last?
September 30th I read somewhere.

Has anyone had a similar issue with Jump On Demand?

I called this morning @ 2:01am CST and got right through. Everything went smoothly, but at the end when she submitted the order, she received a "Confirmation Failed" error message. I waited on the phone for 2 hours after that, but the system was so overloaded nothing worked.

Finally at 7:30am CST the system was back up, and the rep called me back to place an order. Same error message was received, "Confirmation failed". I have literally been called back all day, and we have tried submitting the order more than 30 times -- We get the same error every time. I went to the store, same error.

I'm dealing with the escalations team now to get this resolved, and they promise to have it resolved tonight, but I have no faith. They have no idea what the issue is. We have changed billing information around, multiple credit cards, etc. Nothing works.

I'm totally frustrated. At first I was going to get the phone on the 16th, now best case is 9/27.

For those of you who ordered their 7 or 7+ and didn't know about the free trade in promotion you can still get after the fact. Here is what you need to do as told to me by a Tmobile rep:

1) You have to receive your new phone before the promotion ends.
2) Once you receive take both phones (old and new) to a Tmobile store.
3) Tell the store rep that you are returning the new iPhone 7/7+ because you want to order a new one under the free upgrade promotion.
4) They will cancel your EIP and refund any up front payment.
5) They will let you buy the same iPhone 7/7+ you just received, with the promotion. Or if you have a change of mind on color/mem/model, you can buy any new iPhone 7/7+ they have on hand.
6) Sign a new EIP, turn in your old iPhone and you are good to go.

Which customers are they? Regardless of what you hear, nobody can expedite an order there.

I was just told by T-Force that T-mobile is planning on reaching out to everyone who ordered the 7 within the next couple days via email/text to explain the process on what they need to do...
