No scans for me. It looks like the last UPS flight for the day to Phoenix from Louisville has already departed. I'm hopeful that my phone will be scanned and in UPS' hands for the late PM/early AM flight they usually do.
It definitely IS the same as 6S. Apple loves talking about thinness. Believe me, if it was even slightly thinner Apple would make sure we all knew about it.
I ordered 9/9 at 7am PST a 7plus 128gb matte black -- delivery date is also 9/27 - 10/10 -- they messed up on my email address so I didn't get the eip agreement until the 12th when I called back in (which I wasn't stressing off of because they said there would be a delay in sending it out because of how busy they were and it didn't affect where you were in line) ... Not so sure I believe that either?
In any case, my order still shows processing, my card hasn't been charged & I'm just patiently waiting.
Zelda personally sits on each and every iPhone in order to ensure they receive the correct "thickness"! She also loves chips and guac is what I heard.
Restoring from an iCloud backup, and can hear the little hissing... and by "hissing" I mean the softest "white noise" hum ever. It's like a MacBook Pro fan, set to .0002. I have to put the back of the phone literally ON my ear to hear it, but it is there. I guess it's more noticeable than previous phones, although to be honest, I've never checked (only doing this because of all of the mentions of a 'hissgate'). I'll keep an eye/ear out for it getting worse/more pronounced as I accumulate heavy usage and benchmarks.
For everyone worried about it - granted, some may be worse (or people more sensitive) than others - I'd say it's pretty much a non-issue; definitely not a showstopper. If Apple acknowledges an issue and is going to replace them, then go for it.

For those who have had their phones shipped, how much did the phone weigh and what model did you order? 2.4 lbs for 2 7+s is a little suspicious to me.

Yea, turns out it was false alarm on my part with video record test. I recorded the same video (15 secs in a very quite room) with iphone 6 under no load prior to recording and 7 plus under heavy load and the video (sound) came out exactly same. I could even hear the clock on my wall ticking. The noise that I initially thought was hissing actually turned out to be just white noise in the video that my iPhone 6 produces too.
So I guess, it's just the slight noise that you hear when you keep your ear literally on the Apple logo on the back. I will keep an eye out for this but like I said earlier, nothing that is urgent. But I might still get it replaced eventually once Apple officially announces they have fixed it.
i got the same phone you did called just before midnight on 9/9 got mine on normal jump didn't get my EIP till early morning and got a nov date... t mobile messed up huge and next year I'm going to apple. congrats though jet black is HOT!!!!

Kind of ridiculous how screwed up this whole thing is lol, I get that the Jet Black is high in demand, but it sucks how tmobile got stiffed in inventory :/

I ordered 256gb Rose Gold 7+ this morning with ship date 10/25-11/11 as well.
This is why it's better if you take your phone in to your local store so then it's on them
