Taptic Engine seems better. Mine hisses but I don't really care.

I'll only exchange it if comes up on videos I shoot (doubt it will though)

It looks like there are only two planes at the moment that are flying to Alaska tomorrow afternoon, so here's hoping I'm included in the people getting charged tomorrow *crosses fingers*

do we get charged as the plane lands in alaska or as it leaves alaska?
My guess is after they land and are unloaded.

2 orders placed on 9/12. Both begin with S0176.
iPhone 7 Plus Rose Gold 128GB delivered today :)
iPhone 7 Plus Matte Black 128GB still shows Oct 11 - Oct 24 delivery :(
Did you order the iPhone 7 Plus Rose Gold 128 GB from apple or straight from tmobile?

I've seen some evidence to support that charges happen after landing in Kentucky- but there are two other possibilities.
I was told that you get charged when your device ships. That would be when the plane leaves china. This makes sense to me, but there seems to be more correspondence between flights landing in Kentucky and charges happening.
The other possibility is that the time of the charge is not correlated to flight departure or arrival at all.

there's some evidence that the order number will give clue to where abouts in the queue you are
I'd honestly say very little man, I'm an S0174 and I haven't gotten any charges yet. There's still a bunch of us as far as I know and there have been S018's that have been received already I think.

is the hissing sound a deal breaker? i think it's tolerable. why is everybody making a big deal out of it though? are all the iPhone 7 affected?

Not all are affected, but it's a legit issue for some.

Some people can hear a loud hiss and click, when the phone is under load. It's audible in video recordings, phone calls etc. Not normal at all. And you definitely shouldn't live with it....as the vast majority of 7's are normal and don't have a rattlesnake living in em' ;)

The tech blogger who was one of the first to report it, said his replacement unit was perfect. Along with several people in this forum. So again, doesn't affect all of em. Possibly just some defective ones, in some of the first batches/weeks. There is no doubt Apple knows about it, as there have already been enough returns/exchanges on this issue, to catch their attention. Hopefully it's been solved.

That's it in a nutshell :)
