There really doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the order in which they are shipping out phones.

I get it that each individual model is a queue in itself. But it is clear that it is NOT first come, first served.

There is 'rhyme and reason' but we just can't see it. Imagine ever single color and storage mode, times two different models, each had their own line. It's a lot more complicated that we think. There isn't just one general line, there's multiple lines for each specific phone that has to be matched up with orders that have multiple phones on order.

This wait could be A LOT worse. At this point, I ordered on 9/10, one day after, and feel like I ordered a month after preorders started with the time it's gonna take to get my orders. But oh well, it is what it is. Nothing we say or do will change that. We just gotta play the waiting game.

Anyone whose trade in paperwork say it'll expires exactly 30 days from pre-order? Ordered on 9/12. No movement on my jb+128gb. And trade in paper states it'll expires 10/12.

I'm guessing that's the date that you would've had to turn in your old phone if you had received your new phone on the 12th. Even though it's on paper, T-Mobile should send you another text with the correct trade in date once your phone has been delivered.

This is the text I received on 9/27 after I placed my order.

Wow. You're about to make me rethink the Rose Gold. Mine is 10/25-11/11. You should have yours no later than the end of next week.

I know, me too! JBs get theirs daily; I have yet to hear of anyone getting RGs beyond launch day. It seems like all production of RG has stopped. Meanwhile, people with Nov ship dates are getting JB phones in sept/oct. I mean, why not just change my order?

Probably the most frustrating thing right now is that I'm not getting charged when other people who ordered the same thing as me are getting charged. Granted, they're probably further ahead because of their order date, but it's just frustrating. I hope my turn is coming soon.

At least people on it can keep it. A friend just switched to Sprint and was put on the iphone forever program and sprint just dropped everyone from that. Boy is he gonna be pissed lol.

That's the one good thing about T-Mobile. You can stay grandfathered into their programs literally forever.

I recently read an article about how sprint and T-Mobile were hemmoraging money through those programs but were trying to out-bargain one another. Phone companies already lose money on the actual devices as is.

Anyway to change my order to the next storage size up? I am not an existing T-Mobile customer until I receive my phone and activate it, will ordering again require a second credit check? I ordered a silver because it had lowest esd but I really want the MB because I don't like the white face and willing to go 256 to get it sooner.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you'd need to go through another credit check in order to change your phone in terms of storage size. If anything, it would be placing a new order.

The only thing is that I don't have a T-Mobile login or anything since I'm technically not a customer until the phone is activated. To sign up, you need a T-Mobile phone number but I haven't switched carriers yet. So if I order the same way I did, it would be like opening a new account once again and I already signed the EIP and stuff and don't want that to mess up a second credit check.

I get what you're saying but the orders should still be shipped in the order they were received, depending on configuration. I've seen several people with the same configuration as mine who ordered after me, shipped already. Thats just here on macrumors.

What you can do is; get the phone and return it within 14 days "buyers remorse". Exchange it for the MB. Tmobile said it would be faster to get the phone that way rather than placing a new order. I'm going to do that cause the white is kind of distracting at night. Only thing is i'm not sure of there are any fees for returning.

I think there's some sort of restocking fee. I've seen the little stickers on the boxes of phones; I just don't remember how much.

I also want to change my order because the model I want to switch to has an estimated ship date a couple of weeks sooner.

Does anyone else's order simply say UPS for the shipping? I know most people have next day air for their order, and that's what it says in my confirmation email, but whenever I look at the order through my account, it simply says UPS. Could that simply be because Louisville is just under 2 hours from where I live?

What's the difference from your order saying being processed to your order is in progress, does that mean there working on shipping my order out?

You wil see the next day air part when you recieve tracking. On your order it just says UPS.

I wonder what does t-mobile do to the phones that are being returned as buyers remorse.
