I'm going to be upset if there is no major redesign this year. I originally had the iPhone 3G and was in then"s" track with 4s and 5s. Got the 6 Plus to go back to the "main" track. And now I won't be on that anymore? Sucks. Hope that rumor is not true.

I think anyone looking for DSLR quality photos from a phone is probably looking in the wrong place. You can slap on OIS and an insanely wide aperture but the limitation will still be sensor size.

Granted your not going to get the same quality as a £5,000 DSLR camera, BUT the dual camera will significantly increase the quality. Over the years the camera in the iPhone and other phones have gotten better and better, even to the point where they have replaced most point and click cameras that people take with them on holidays and use at special occasions (I.e birthdays, weddings and so on).

The cameras in phones have improved, certainly. I'm not disputing that. All I'm saying is that expecting a DSLR quality image, whether APS-C or full frame, from a 1/2.3 sensor butts up against the laws of physics. Of course, a camera in a phone is far more available and convenient than a DSLR so there's that. Ideally, you'd have both if you valued photography.

As for the dual camera lens setup, I am unsold regarding its specific merits. Until the actual product is in hand and appropriately vetted, I will reserve judgement of any kind.

Add the to mix 90% of phone pics taken are 'point and shoot'. While there is some 'photography' with the iPhone, most people are looking to capture the moments of every day life quickly and easily. Apple needs to focus on the things that make that easier. OIS in all models would be big. Samsung is doing some nice things with low light photography. But by and large it's going to be hard to market a camera as being significantly better when it's really good as is.

Think you are one of the very few who are.
I like the 6 design. It's really nice IMO. By making some tweaks to refine it, like removing the antenna bands, I think it is fine to use it in the 7. Would I like to see a new design? Of course, because im a geek and I love new designs from Apple. But it shouldn't happen "just cause." I'd rather them wait till they actually have a great design to use, as is rumored next year, rather than just do a new design every other year.

THE wasted space is the most annoying thing for me. It's a 5'5 inch screen but feels like a 6 inch phone. Bizels need to be sorted out above all else for me.

Yeah, the bezels on the Plus definitely need to be reduced somewhat. On the 6 they're fine IMO.

With the home button being round and all I don't think you can reduce the bottom bezel.

Yeah maybe until the iPhone 7 break the record sale of iPhone 6s
Sales aren't a good decider on if it's a good upgrade or not as people buy iPhones wether they are good or bad

apple aren't expecting it to sell as well as last year by all reports. Almost like they are giving up and putting all hope in the iPhone 8.

I don't believe in iPhone 8 it's too early to say anything. Coming on the design of iPhone 7 i am OK with it
