I'm looking at all these reviews of the Note 7, and I'm like we will have to wait til 2030 for Apple to get these features. This peace meal approach with features is simply not cool. I don't see any blockbuster software feature that they can present that will make me stay.. If you get the regular iphone 7 then you wont even get the new dual lenses, so what the hell would be the point? Apple pencil support and split view like the ipad will be the only reason I will stay. But it looks like they probably wont have that...

I'm not going to watch that video as its over an hour long. It looks like your main concerns are the camera and split screen. The Note 7 uses the same camera as the S7 which was released in March and split screen will be in all android devices running at least Android Nougat. No clue if it will ever make it to the iPhone or not, so if you need that you'll likely want to move to an Android device.

Also, I would recommend reading this review if you haven't: http://www.xda-developers.com/with-...delivers-embarrassing-real-world-performance/

Not everyone buys the iPhone just because of specs or features.

Maybe you can't wait for these things, but if I like the look of a phone that to me trumps everything.

Pretty phone that is obsolete? OK
I use my phones to make phone calls, browse the net when out, email and text message and post to Facebook from time to time.

I use my television to watch movies, my Macs to do design work and word processing and my iPad for internet browsing in bed/short videos.

If this pretty but obsolete phone can't email, text or do light internet browsing then yeah, it won't work for me. However, my 2009 HTC Touch Pro (a Windows Mobile phone) was capable of all of this and the iPhone 6s+ which I own now is far superior to that phone. This type of usage for us hasn't changed since December 2008 and won't be changing in the future. We spend 2.5 to 3.5 years with our devices before we upgrade so spending that much time with a device, we want to like how it looks.

Note 7 is a great phone and try it if you want to. What Apple does give you is a dependable phone that has amazing performance and instant updates and works great with all devices

You don't need to upgrade if you don't see the need to. Couldn't you just wait till 2017 iPhone if you don't see this years being worth it

Then buying a store mockup is a cheap alternative, you can show it off and have a flip phone that works in your pocket. ;)

I am waiting-
I am intrigued w the note 7 however and am not blind to android. I had the note 2-3 HTC 9 than hopped back to iPhone. Husband has LGG4 and my youngest has an iPad and an android tablet given for free by att and wow she LOVES it loves the games and has fun w it sooooo-
BOTH systems work!
Everyone likes whatever they wish but iPhone should IMO add more stuff!
I will end it w my iPhone's never hiccup never lag nothing- that's the reason I love it. Nothing annoys me more than having to remove a battery or frozen phone(needing a
Hard reset)
When we pay so much we shouldn't be getting this (Often)
Just my opinion.
I'm hearing this isn't happening anymore--- I'll find out lol
Looks? They all look great!

Between the 2? Note 7. By far (especially the Exynos variant). Likely the Note 7 will be better in every way minus nand speed. And maybe CPU.

But LG v20 and Nexus Marlin/Sailfish still are yet to come around the time of the iPhone 7. These will have clean updates OSes. They will perform well. And less cost than they Note and iPhone 7.

Every time a new Samsung phone is released I convince myself that it has so many features that are better than iphone and just buy it (and sell it within 3 months usually for a $250 loss) Here are a few things I dislike and like about Samsung phones:

Bad
1. Touchwiz sucks. Its been getting better and better in the last 2 years but it still sucks.
2. S7 edge is the best Samsung I have used so far. I really got it for all the freebies (BOGO, free Gear VR, $50 Costco Credit, free Extended Battery Pack, 1 Yr Netflix Sub free). But even the S7 edge started lagging after 1.5 months of usage.
3. JMHO. Pictures taken on the iphone look natural & better compared to Samsung which are mostly oversaturated. Samsung does have a great camera but in my opinion its not better than the iphone. Pictures of faces and people in general look like crap on Samsung.
4. I've been with android for a long time but appstore has more useful and better looking (UX/UI) apps than google play. Most of the awesome apps usually come to iOS first
5. Carrier Bloatware is annoying

Good
1. Samsung pay rocks
2. Waterproof
3. Expandable memory is such a convenience
4. Beautiful big display with no ugly bezels
5. You could use launchers to customize the phone to your heart's content

* My work phone is an iphone 6 and my current personal phone is a Nexus 5X rocking Android Nougat beta with a Nexus launcher.
did you buy a Note 7 this go around?
