It's a phone camera. What you expect it to do??? Camera phone... phone with a camera. You know it's not going to be a real camera like a dlsr.

Buy a real camera if this isn't enough.

Your statement is nonsense.....the camera is the "Iphones'" main feature so it needs to be on par with the best cameras on phones out there......it's not like they have any other worthy features to advertise.......if I follow your statement I would go back to 35 mm film.....

Lol. The camera is great. But if you want more than that buy a real camera. My post makes sense

Gimmicky? Have you seen any of the results with the new camera? The new Bokeh feature is a Plus. But the photos have been astounding from what I have seen.

Yes, I would also agree with it being "gimmicky." How often in real world usage will this feature matter? It reminds me of my Android friends who like to shove their phones in my face with their "your phone can't this" nonsense. My response is almost always, "that's nice, but how many times have you actually utilized said feature other than just playing with it?"

"Uh..."

While the 7+ feature is nice, I don't see it getting that much real world action. Personally, I don't think I'd use it outside of playing with it on occasion. To top it off, I can't stand pictures of people anyway, so... :p

That's your opinion and your entitled it. The results speak for themselves.

It's not nonsense, there are limits to what these devices can do. I have no issues at all in working within the limits of the non-OIS 56mm 2.8 camera which I happen to like a heck of a lot, a fresh look and great option in what has typically been all wide angle iPhone photos.

And I shoot a ton of black and white film in 35mm sir. That format along with medium and large format in a real black and white darkroom print wipes the floor with any digital camera, let alone a phone. Lol!
