14-day window is up for me in 2 days. I've restored back to my old iPhone 6. Boy do I miss the new home button already! The auto-unlock on touch was a nice feature + feels much more smooth.

It's truly disappointing that nearly two weeks later there is no solution to this issue. I'm the type of person who doesn't even return a product if it has a slight defect or minor scratch. However, I cannot due with dropped GPS signals, inconsistent internet (airplane mode reset constantly, if it drops to 3G the internet won't work at all) and most of all VoLTE.

iPhone 7S here I come.

This **** is frustrating man. I wanna return it, and rebuy it if/when they fix it just in case they don't patch this anytime soon. But I don't have phone to use in the meantime as I sold my 6s, ugh

I just hope this is a software issue it seems like it is because when I do have service it's good but it randomly drops out even when I have full signal

My phone keeps dropping to 3G and then 30 seconds later will jump back into LTE! I wonder if this has to do with the transition between 2100mhz AWS to 700mhz Lte it seems to be prioritizing 3G over stepping down to 700mhz I called apple and they want to replace my phone...Lol

This was one of our initial ideas however my area is using Verizon's AWS bands around here and not the 700. I checked the towers I connect to and they were all band 4.

It does seem like a software issue to me, that's why I'm hopeful this won't take long to be resolved. But idk

This is actually getting worrisome that it has no attention and no fix from apple yet

I'm pretty sure every Verizon customer is having this issue when you call they just say "We are not aware of any current issues". When this is clearly a widespread problem! Apple just offered me a replacement, but I'm sure I'll go through the hassle only to have the same problem.

I think most people don't realize or don't have volte on ( like my gf)

Has anyone got their phone 7 (Verizon) replaced and it actually fixed the problem?

when I turn off LTE voice, I don't have any problems with GPS and "no service" when using map apps, but I haven't driven out of Long Island which worries me

Curious about this as well. I also just turned off VoLTE, I'm going to try this and see if it helps, I have my old 6 with me at all times so I'll be comparing.

So today I restored my iPhone with iTunes to factory and before I restored my data it said that their was a carrier update. Didn't say what but was wondering if anybody else has seen this. I'll update tomorrow with how my service is.

I do miss the home button on the 7.

Yep, I was told by apple to restore it to factory settings, I saw the same carrier update however it's still doing the same thing I'm still running version 25.1 even after it said that did yours update to a newer version?

Has any mod ever clarified why the thread was moved to help/troubleshooting? It's weird to see a thread on small noises still be on the other forum, whilst people here have half-functional phones.

1.) its a troubleshooting forum, so it actually made sense
2.) someone a few pages back flagged the post, with the intent on merging all 3 existing threads on this. a mod probably moved it.

In a way, I guess it is. Just used to having major issues stay within the main forum and the "trouble shooting" forum being more of a help section for newbies who don't know what to do. Not so much a section where there may be an issue from the manufacturer, as there isn't we ourselves can 'troubleshoot' or manage.

I'm just a stressed fan who has been disappointed. Excuse my negativity.

Maybe its time to reach out to Root Metrics or Consumer Reports and get their take on it? Has anyone done that?

so here is a twist.

my friend with Verizon, but owns an android phone, says he encountered this issue last year. I remember vaguely telling me about it. same thing, phone dropped LTE and went to 3G and 1x and sometimes no service. he told me Verizon had him perform all the generic troubleshooting before they realized something was up and he said it was a software issue. he still has the same phone now and it works just fine. so now I'm really thinking its definitely software.

he said their temp fix for him was the same that we came up with, disable VoLTE.

no but I tweeted a message to Verizon, the verge, imore and some other tech outlets with no avail! lol

Yeah, 25.1 still. I'm getting a call back from a apple tonight so if the problem still persists today they said they will look into the next steps.

This morning no service and I can't get it back after rebooting several times on my launch day plus

I've disabled VoLTE for now. I'll give this a try.

I've noticed that driving around the city increases the likelihood versus highway driving.
