So how do you guys feel about Apple lying to us customers about the new screen, which is in no way 25% brighter?

I noticed this issue straight away, thinking I might go to Apple Store next week about it, I hate it. It's literally half as bright as the 6.

That's a return, no question. Years ago I had the same issue with an Ipad 2. I couldn't believe how dim it was and that someone let it leave the factory that way.

Something is definitely wrong here. 25% brighter should be an extremely visible increase. Even if the screens were identical in brightness that would indicate that something is not working correctly.

Does anyone have a phone showing increased brightness? It seems like something must be wrong with the direct sunlight boost functionality we've been hearing about

The brightness was the first thing I noticed once I restored my 7+.

I had both my 7+/6s+ on 50% and the 7+ is a lot darker.

Hopefully this is indeed a software issue. I don't see how a brightness setting will be fixed over time??

What's weird is I was looking at this feature but only saw the intensity, not the hue. I had to scroll down and then it all made sense. This could be good solution for some.
Not really, it's doesn't fix it and actually dims the screen slightly which is one of the issues some are having already. But honestly I'll probably be getting a refund on this Tuesday, Wednesday as they probably won't have the right replacements in stock, I highly doubt the yellow will be going anywhere and I doubt the brightness will get to over what I have on the 6.

Yeah, sure. Any proof?

No I take it back. Funny I set it up as a new phone and it seemed very bright then I decided to restore from backup and now it's dim.

Definitely dinner than the 6s at full throttle.

Edit:
Dang guys now it's as bright as my 6s at full throttle if not more.

What's this I'm hearing about iPhone 7's.having a dimmer screen than the iPhone 6s?? Does anyone have a brighter screen than the 6s? If so can you post a picture please? Apple said it was 25% BRIGHTER. Hopefully this is a software issue because that's a bunch of ******** Apple.

You seem very mad about something that your not even sure is true. Relax, also it's just a phone.

Dude don't tell me to relax. I paid a lot of money for a phone that seems to be made with little care (first the cheap lens cover, -and now dimmer displays?). Apple made it a point to consistently tell the world that it's 25% brighter. It was basically touted as being a major new update to the screen. I have yet to literally see that in any comparison picture. In fact all I'm reading on forums is about the dimness on the 7.

Picked up a rose gold 7 for my wife tonight. I have a 6s. Her screen IS brighter than mine without a doubt. Don't put stock in every rumor you hear.
I'd love to see a picture because all I've heard about is dimmer and yellow screens.

Maybe a different phone is the best route for you. If Apple isn't up to your standards maybe time for something new.
We will all pray for you.
