Sound like it's defective. Why would software with millions lines of codes behave unexpectedly. I would go immediately to apple before your warranty it up. Restore it and turn it off before something else happens. Hurry!

Since you didn't understand my last post I'll respond. Your "issue" hasn't been reported as it's just a software bug. Something that will or will not get fixed with a software update. The best you could do is report it to apple if you want it fixed. The visual glitch happens on my 7plus as well. And believe me there are many more visual bugs on your phone that you probably aren't aware of.

if you enable assistive touch shortcut (3 click home button to open it) , issue was gone. This issue was there since ios 10 release. they didn't fix it i don't know why.

Computers are even more expensive and there are all kinds of software bugs. And it's always been like this. What's new or surprising about this?

It tested two iPhone 6 and 6s when iOS 10 came out never noticed this is why I order the smaller size iPhone to see no more flickering like my 6s plus

you're right. i have 6s plus before my 7 plus, i have that issue like my 7 plus but its common 7 and 7 plus thing i think. it is absolutly software issue.

i try restore 3 or 4 times but didn't work. i enable Accessibility Shortcut in Accessibility settings and it fix the issue but this solution causes little bit of delay to open app switcher or close apps.

There no swapping out and the dust under camera lens under a microscope under the lens is not found the Genius Bar tech told me he went to the back under his microscope with light he found nothing @AppleNewton @Videomanmac I won't deal with this issue no more since I''m upgrading to the iPhone 8 next year and my mom keeping my iPhone 7

iOS is hardly a full desktop OS. Idk how you can compare the two.... what's surprising is that iOS 6 on the iPhone 5 runs circles around iOS 10 on "faster" hardware? Or anything pre iOS 7-10... RIP 60fps

It's fairly easy to compare the two since they are much closer to each other than they are different. Mobile OSs these days are quite complex and run on hardware that isn't that far off from various computers.

So explain to me the huge performance difference? Why on earth is an old phone like the 5 and iOS 6 a smoother and more solid performer then the 7 or 7 plus? Here's no excuse, Apple is just not optimizing like they used to. Plain and simple.
