So you just registered Friday to say you bought a Note 8 and returned it? lol. Surrrrrre.
So now the question is, which existing poster here created this new account to push his/her "I tried the Note 8, it's a great phone, but the iPhone 8 is still better" agenda. I guess I could narrow it down to the posters who back your posts. ;)
These posts are getting so tiring and pathetic.

Wow some people.

Here is a picture for the non believers.

Sounds like confirmation bias. Size and weight bothers him. Trades it in for a heavier and wider phone. Just get the iPhone from jump and stop wasting your time and whoever has to process your return.

I disagree, I returned my Note 8 for exactly the same reason. The too tall form factor felt very unbalanced in my hand and it was more difficult to reach vertically on the N8 than reach horizontally on the ip7+ for me. Plus I hated the curved edges for many reasons.

Good that we have choices. I use cases, and with both of them in the same type minimal Spigen case, I would have a hard time even telling them apart they are so close to the same form factor. Certainly the edges are the same in a case.

Totally get this. People really underestimate how good a feature "Reachability" is. Note has the option to shrink the screen but it's not the same thing.

I do not like the Note's form factor but the rest of it is so good I can live with it.

That shrink screen thing seems very difficult to deal with. I don't have any problem using the Note 8 one handed, but then I have pretty big hands.

I have pretty big hands also, I actually wish for a 6.5" phone with a 16:9 ratio. yeah I know it totally goes against my gripes against the Note 8, but I still would love to have a huge phone like that. But part of my gripe with the Note 8 was that it just didn't feel locked into my hand because it was so narrow, it felt like it was always off balance. This may be a case where a smaller hand actually can grip it better, and I can appreciate that was a smarter business decision for Samsung. But a wider phone actually feels more planted in the hand to me.

A good reason why different sizes is a good thing. I hope that Apple (and others) gives the SE size factor some love at some point. My wife loves that size because she carries it around purely as a phone and has a cellular iPad with her at all times.

A SE with no bezels actually sounds mighty tempting.

Even though those edges were less curved, they still got in the way. Especially when I wrote on the screen the few times I did. Ugh.

Stop yo braggin'!

Note's shrink screen feature actually works fine. I found that iPhone's reachability is a better version of using a large phone one handed. It's little items like that which remind you iOS devs still know how to cater to users vs Jony Ive.

I always say if you need to use the Note's shrink screen reachability feature or even the one on the iPhone Plus; you are probably better off buying a new much smaller phone since their are devices out there that fits those standards.

Well, on IOS, they still have the "standard" back at the difficult to reach top left. Very telling how great IOS is at NOT catering to one-handed use.

On Android, things are not fixed in stone. You have options to adapt how you want to use your phone. I use my S8+ one handed most of the time without issues. I don't use the "shrink screen" but I have floating "home", "back", "task", "notification" buttons vertically on the right edge. This allows me to grip the phone in the middle so most parts of the screen are within easy reach of my thumb. To pull down notification, I just tap the floating "notification" button next to my thumb. On Iphone, you have no other options except "reachability" (which requires extra steps plus it is a distraction to normal flow)

I disagree about reachability adding steps and being a distraction. Your screen sounds cluttered and unappealing to me.

What clutter? I can set those floating buttons to (near) transparent. Once you get used to the button positions, you can tap them without consciously finding them.

You mean you want a phone like the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, that was a 16:9 phone with 6.4inch display.

The Note 8 is a great device and it does feel a bit unbalanced as stated.
I like the device. Not sure how useful the stylus is to me yet though.
I almost want to go to and 8 plus, just simply because of the ease of use and the camera. (Just a simple phone to use) it is ageing in my eyes a bit though.
I also already have the Apple Watch which I like for notifications.
So not sure may go 8+ and keep my Apple Watch or may move down to the s8+ and go to the Gear S3...

The camera and ease of use and having the Apple Watch makes me want to stay with Apple. I’m not happy with having to make purchases in the Apple store often for apps I like vs. android where most of there’s are free. That’s a big let down, plus I’ve had Apple for like 4 years so it’s a bit boring.
The android has tons of customization which can be a pro or con for some....
