I actually did adjust my mount to aim directly at my face (I could see myself in it like a mirror). But it seems there's also a distance limitation for the FaceID. I had to lean in 8-9 inches each time to get it to unlock which I don't prefer to do while in the car.

Face ID needs work, but its not horrible or even much different than TouchID. FaceID doesnt work for me mostly due to distance from my face or something blocking my face. With that said, Touch ID also consistently failed for me in certain scenarios (For example, touch ID ALWAYS failed during and after workouts, in cold weather, etc.).

Nothing is perfect, but FaceID as it improves I feel it will be more convenient than TouchID. Thankfully folks who dont want to step into the future can stick with TouchID for now while FaceID matures.

Agreed. Hopefully FaceID will continue to evolve and improve (and I'm sure it will) since all the new iPhones won't have a home button.

Yes and how many are unique users and not single users posting 10s of messages in the same thread.

It could be real, but there are also many other factors that contribute to "eye strain" and folks LOVE to vehemently complain in macrumors forums. :)

Its Real, there is no ‘could’. Also, Its not just complaining on Macrumors, its _any_ forum you will find this. Because its a discussion board for others to express, opinionate and vent, Thats how boards work. Point is, the ‘Eye-thread’ is a *massive* thread full of individuals that are sharing their experiences alike of personal views of what they have experienced with PWM.
