Having read this thread, at least Apple was kind enough to replace a scratched up phone regardless of fault...and made you feel better for it.They could of just said its wear and tear from normal use and refused to replace it. That's some top notch service...aaah every time I say "top notch" I see an iphone x in my head
Lesson learnt, buy a case/screen protector and have it ready to go from when you open the box.
That's what I'll be doing for the impending X anyway...
It was very nice of them to do that, you're right.
I had another horrible experience yesterday. My IPhone 8+ ACTUALLY stopped working with my network. I'm not sure if the antenna stopped working or what, because it took FOREVER to load anything when using Verizon, but was fine over wifi. I then restored the phone and set up as new, but I was encountering the same issue.
I brought it to the Apple Store and the guy who was helping me said that there was nothing wrong with the phone. They ran all tests and it came back all good. I tried telling him that I even put the SIM card back in my SE and it was running 10x faster and had no dropped calls, but he said it was because of the update and was normal because all be other apps have to update to support the newer update (what?!)
I told him that Safari, phone, and messages were all built into IOS and the guy gave me a very arrogant, condescending attitude. He still said that there was nothing wrong with the phone (like really?).
I decided to just return the phone today and use my SE until the X comes out because I should just spend my money on that.
When I was returning the phone, my network wasn't working at all at that point and it was useless unless I used WIFI.
You would think that going back to my SE would seem very slow and unresponsive, yet it's A LOT more quick than my 8+. No lag, very responsive, and also had more crap on it (8gb out of 64gb are available)
