ahh yes, my question is will it also unlock a phone with the 3.9 boot loader. one which is NOT a 1.1.2 or a 1.1.3 OTB

When he says iTunes, Restore, Ziphone - does he mean iTunes / Restore only if you have Jailbroken, etc. before? My phone has never been unlocked, etc and is updated to 1.1.3.

From reading the help file I think the answer is no.

Unlock and Imei changer will work ONLY on 4.6 BL (112 and 113 ootb).

Jailbreak will work on any OS version.

Activation will work on any OS version, except for youtube on 1.0.X

Restore in order to have a clean iPhone without any jailbreak or unlock. I don't think this step is essential if you have a untouched iPhone.

yeah i figured it out, anySIM 1.3 will unlock the 4.03.13_G baseband under a 3.9 bootloader and NOT a 4.6

so this method will restore it, jailbreak it and install the installer.app

if you have 3.9 like myself, you will need to just use installer.app in order to actually perform the unlock

Yes, it will work, my iphone is like your, and it worked.
I as i said upgraded the whole phone usually it will be bricked, but with this file it was unlocked in matter of minutes

I am so excited :D

I did an update from a Jailbroken 1.1.2 in iTunes to 1.1.3, then used this ziPhone jailbreak.

I am having trouble with my email, keeps saying invalid password. (I'm going to try the password fix and let you know.) Nate's password fix did not work.


Anyone else have the email problem?

That IMEI PART is seperate, its got nothing to do with unlock.
they should have put it in seperately, i know.

so (((Imei changer will work ONLY on 4.6 BL (112 and 113 ootb).))) is only for limited people but who cares, i really dont even need that option.
I mean its bad for APPLE, because if they can hack into imei number than what else is available to us in future.

IMEI gets blocked when a phone gets stolen from you, you report it to your service provider and they actually block that imei number, now if you can change that, than it really is not so good option for insurance people.

You dont have to do it, i dont care you can spend 60 mintues doing the SOFT 1.1.3 UPGRADE from installer and it will have errors trust me, i have been there. and you will always have error for some reason when i upgraded the official Dev way when i restart my iphone it goes to Recovery Mode.

But this one really works in less than 3 minutes, and i am telling you there is no any errors that i have come across.

Please other users who have used this method, type in a few words that it works and how it worked for you.

Because I am really going to bed now. Or my wife will kill me :D
 
I'll test this tonight when I get home from work.

My iPhone is a UK 1.1.2 OTB running the official 1.1.3 update.
 
Dude, you don't have to shout. There's only been one other person who posted that this works properly. Several other people have run into problems.

I'm glad you're happy with your results, but I can't hurt to hear from some other people who've had sucesses with other versions of the phone before calling it a "sure thing."
 
I downloaded the GUI file, and when I double click on it to extract, it tells me it's corrupt. Anyone else having this problem?

This what i have put here is infact in all other major websites that tell you how to do it, if it didnt worked they wouldnt put it out there. now some say it only works on certain iphones like OOTB or only 4.6 but thats not true. i dont have a 4.6 or OOTB and it really worked, there are some other people who have tried this and its worked for them.

Worked for me...

Bought a 16GB 1.1.3 yesterday, read through all the threads on various sites and gave it a go. 5 minutes and I was done (did -a -j first then -u). I stuck in my existing AT&T Sim (non-iphone plan but has PDA connect data) and I get service, edge, wifi, youtube, itunes music store, installer. Locate me hasn't been working though but not a big deal for me.
 
I've got a 1.1.1 phone, jailbroked and unlocked on Vodafone in the UK. Do I upgrade to 1.1.3 in iTunes, then run this software and I'm unlocked and jailbroked again?
 
Is anyone having trouble with their Yahoo mail? :(

I keep getting a invalid username password. I re-entered it several times so I know it's correct.
 
Wow ...

So, tried this using the Mac version. Got a "Bus" error and was stuck in recovery mode.. So, booted up good old Parallels and ran the Windows version.

And presto, jailbroken 1.1.3

I am impressed.

I am using a day 1 iPhone that I was forced to restore to factory 1.1.3 due to the other crappy methods to jailbreak (was never looking for an unlock). Worked like a champ!
 
Holy crap this is awesome! I was using the devteam 1.1.3 jailbreak, but I wanted to try this one. First thing I did was do a restore to the 1.1.3 firmware in itunes so I could get the new baseband, then I ran the GUI, and after I put the phone in restore mode, it took only 40 SECONDS to jailbreak it. I am soooo happy.
 
I ran the gui and it said operation completed and everything seemed good, but installer.app is not on my home screen. Anyone know why or how I can get it?
