Updating from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 via the new method

I have a jailbroken iphone 1.1.2 (originally 1.0.2) and I would like to update it to 1.1.3 but before that i want to restore it before doing soo

So what shall I do???
restore to 1.1.2 via iTunes?
then update it to 1.1.3 Via Itunes?
or shall I use this new method?

A fantastic job and far easier than when I jailbroke my 1.1.2 handset.

Is it correct that the modem version will remain on 04.02.13_G with this hack?

The unlock feature only works on OOTB 1.1.2 & 1.1.3 preinstalled... Meaning 4.6 Bootloader..

I would suggest that you upgrade to 1.1.3, but if your satisfied with your current version thats fine, but upgrading to 1.1.3 will give you the new features like the "Locate Me" on Maps, plus of course those wiggling icons. Its very easy, just remember to turn your phone off first, then press the home and power buttons until you see the apple logo, release the power button while still pressing the home button, when you see the itunes and usb symbol release the home button, in a little while the background will turn blue and just wait.. About 3 mins you done!!! But also remember that the unlock feature only works on 1.1.2 & 1.1.3 OOTB with 4.6 bootloader.
 
Swapping sim cards simply results in a 'No Sim' message so I'm not sure it's actually unlocked.

I've also noticed that Youtube is not working. Everything else appears to function as normal.
 
I used ZiPhone yesterday on my 1.1.2 upgraded to 1.1.3 iPhone and had only one problem: The locate me in maps wouldn't work. I was told to install Navizon and run it. That fixed the locate me in maps.

I also unlocked my phone only so that I could use the sim from my other 1.1.2 iPhone in my 1.1.3. Works perfectly and this also allows me to use a GoPhone sim in the unlocked iPhone.

Very nice job the devs did on this! ;)
 
Do I need to do anything after the unlock in order to have the iPhone recognise a change of operator sim card?

on sunday i spent like 3 hours jailbreaking my 1.1.3 with the official dev team method and now this only takes three minutes!!???!


haha, i need to learn how to be patient
 
ziphone unlocking

Hi, I have a 1.1.3 iphone baseband 04.03 and bootloader 4.6.till now I jailbreaked by the unofficial method but phone is still locked.If I restor back to 1.1.3 firmware through itunes and use ziphone will I be able to unlock and use everything including installer ,wifi....?

Can someone verify if my problem is jailbreaking related or the apps I installed related. Anyway, I used the original method of ZiPhone yesterday afternoon. And this morning and afternoon, I had 5 minute spurts where it started up with the black and white flashing bars, then I could open an app, but then once inside, I couldnt tap anything, so I just used the home button to get out. Then, when using the sleep button on top, instead of going into sleep mode, it would go to a dark version of my slide to unlock screen, but no status bar stuff, no time and no slider. I just want to know what exactly is the culprite behind this so I can act accordingly...
 
Worked like a charm!!

Less than 2 minutes and everything works exactly as it did before jailbreak!:D
 
Works Great

I'm extremely new to iphone so I may miss some info.

When to the store and purchased a 8G iphone today. Install the latest ITune from apple.com. Follow the online instruction to set your iphone to recovery phone. Plug iphone into PC. Install Ziphone. Run the cmd command as instructed. Wait 2:30 minute. It will reboot, bang. Done and confirmed with T-Mobile sim, YouTube, Wifi, maps, email, everything is working.

Thanks for the great app. Sorry, I'm so new that I don't even know what version of iphone I was running. Entire thing with itune install, open package, took only 10 minutes. I'm happy with my Tmobile iphone.

Can I confirm???

I have an iphone running 3.9 bootloader jailbroken and unlocked with anysim on 1.1.2 os

Currently, I suspect, i have a corrupt baseband as my wifi reception is not as good as my wifes itouch and on UK vodafone i quite often get "no service". Therefore, am I right in thinking i should do the following;

1) use itunes to restore to 1.1.3 as it will replace corrupt baseband
2) once restored..use ziphone gui to jailbreak
3) use any sim 1.1.3 to unlock sim (as I have 3.9 bootloader) or will the gui unlock 3.9 bootloader?

any clarification appreciated!

Ziphone will do all that, infact u shouldnt need anysim any more. just check all the boxes when you run the ziphone application that are needed. Thats All to it.
 
can you restore to factory setting after it is being jailbreaked?

in case if u want to bring the phone to back to store..
 
hey guys. worked a treat on my new 16gb iphone:D so happy

anyway what this baseband and bootloader thing, how can i check what version i have?

also with the installer app on the home screen ive used one of the apps inside which i installed called the OS X wallpaper pack but i gots no idea how to use it!!! i cant find it anywhere. its defo installed becasue within the installer app theres the uninstall part and that and the installer 3.0 is listed.

any ideas?
 
Just a quick question, I am thinking of buying an Iphone and unlocking it to work on my Tmobile plan here in the UK. But I might be moving over to the US in October and am wanting to know if I can put a US sim into the phone? Will I have any issues? Can I restore the phone and put it on an AT&T plan if I need to?
 
I'm a rookie and I don't even know how to use jailbreakme but I did it anyways the problem is that youtube doesn't work anymore. Can someone please help? I installed it on the 114 update. Also can someone tell me how to use jailbreakme? Anytime I try to install anything I get a network not available message.thanks

If you get a OOTB 1.1.3 phone you'll be grand for sure. Unlocking will allow you to put any SIM in the phone.

Also, you can restore to factory settings and get an AT&T plan.

1.1.4 is a bit untested at the moment, but if you hurry, you won't get one of those OOTB.

I updated my phone to 114 today and I also added jailbreakme for the first time and the only problem I have is youtube is not working. Can someone help please??
