I'm not looking to my phone to keep my excited. Its a tool, a pretty flexible, powerful tool. It has plethora of apps, great extensibility thanks to the programs and allows me to be first and foremost in contact with people and also achieve a level of efficiency. I also like to play the odd game or two 
As for the OP's position of being bored with it. Well that's a human emotion that will occur with any material possession. I'm content with my iPhone, its the best phone out on the market. When my 2 years are up, I'll re-evaluate the market and my needs but at the moment, its uno-numero
