I think the iPhone has a lot of great features. The features of the iPhone have prompted most cell phone companies to change their line-ups and improve their user interface as well. The App store has also been great because it has a lot of interesting games and productivity apps.
I do sometimes get bored with my iPhone because of the UI. Not that it doesn't work well, but part of the fun of a getting a new phone at the end of each contract is the brand new interface I get to learn and play with. A lot of people hate this, but I find it to be fun. Apple is clearly happy with their current UI, which is great. But to be honest at times the user interface is a bit too simple, making the phone seem boring. I'm sure the multi-touch interface will be improved as time goes by, but I think the fundamental system will stay the same. That would be the only deterrent for me buying another iPhone.
Obviously most people like their devices to be simple, but at times the simplicity can seem boring. I'm not at all criticizing Apple's hardware or software, just stating my findings about a potentially "boring" iPhone.
