How do you rate the construction, same as v8, I mean without a proper case it is a no-go right?

I'm still in 2 minds about it and since my Lumia is dying I am planning on getting the white one for my wifey, whereas the red one for myself - counting on your replies, dear Forumers!

This morning there is a lot more detail filled in on the UPS tracking, lol.

When I went to sleep it was in Minneapolis (30 mikes away or so). In the middle of the night it got to Eagan (20 miles!) and early this morning to Shakopee (LESS THAN TEN MILES!!!!).

Currently “loaded on delivery vehicle!”

I’m too old for this s***, lol.

This is not a glitch, you cannot transfer from a newer iOS to older for obvious reasons (there may be incompatibilities).

The message displayed simply says that you need to have an iPhone with iOS 11 or higher for the data transfer function to work. It did not say that both phones have to be on the exact same version.

I’m old school anyway. I was going to sync my current phone to iTunes and set up the new one off of it.
 
Just got mine, sadly can confirm no 3d touch, even though it seems the display hardware does physically support it (chinese youtuber has tried swapping an SE display to 8 and vice-versa)

They don’t have to be the exact same, the device you’re transferring to can have a newer version of iOS, but not older than the device you’re transferring from.

But the biggest disappointment is the quality of the display glass - it has high friction and poor oleophobic coating. I have access to hundreds of phones going back many years through work and I have never felt anything this bad, except for a fake replacement screen I got for an android phone several years ago. Not accusing this of being a fake screen as everything is working and the colours look great next to a calibrated monitor, but seems like a manufacturing error perhaps

The high friction is what you get with new out of the box phones. Give it a day to get some of your finger grease on it.

I received that email too on Wednesday too.

It's out for delivery here. :) UPS are sending the delayed delivery emails out a lot lately. I understand, nice thing is the deliveries have always been made on the promised day of delivery.

With the price of AC+ being so cheap, why not just rock it naked? It isn't much more than a case.

That’s a good point, but I haven’t found any of the iPhones since the 5c to be comfortable to hold. Too thin, and in the case of the 5, the hard corners were uncomfortable on the thinner phone. This all isn’t terrible, just something I don’t have to deal with by putting on a case.

Besides, the camera bump would drive me crazy on a tabletop, lol. The case would be necessary for me.

So my white 128 SE is out for delivery. My gf really wanted the red one, but that was after I already preordered mine from Apple and delivery estimates slipped to mid May.

So last night, I went on BestBuy's website and found one (literally 1) red SE 128 available for pickup today in a 250 mile radius. Luckily, this store is only 30 miles from me. I checked just now and all other stores won't have it until April 30th.

If I like the red, I may just keep it for myself and make my gf wait lol
