Any luck unlocking for Cellular One?

Cellular One is in the process of being eaten up by AT&T and was just wondering if anyone has had success using a Cellular One SIM in the iPhone. Looking to buy one soon, if you had success! :-D

I did the free unlock last night. Works fine with my CellOne SIM. I don't have EDGE working yet (I have unlimited data for my BlackBerry). I was able to call my home number.

Working in Brazil

I stayed up and unlocked it last night and got it working in Brazil on Oi network.

Use these directions and files b/c the others give some problems at minicom, if you already used something else just switch over to these directions:

iphone.unlock.no

Confirmed unlock

Just writing to confirm a working Norwegian SIM, from Chess, in my iPhone. I used the guide at iphone.unlock.no.

Fine, fine work.

So glad someone has come out with a simple and free method. Looks like it'll get a major speed improvement any time too. Give it until the end of the week and it should be sweet :D

Up yours iPhoneSIMFree.

Course, now I want to import an iPhone more than ever...
AHEM: my californian mother would send one... and since I'm not in a contract right now... ;) :D :D

I am not a lawyer, but cell phone unlocking appears to be perfectly legal

It may or not break an agreement you implicitly signed with Apple or AT&T, but that's not against the law, and it's not our responsibility to police those agreements.

Thank you for saying that, that is exactly correct and just want I would've said if I had been up at 2am. ;-) Illegal is completely different from possibly breaking a license term. Civil vs criminal law is the key.

And that is just in the US. Every country will be different.
