Wow, I am beyond pissed right now. I had my 6s plus battery changed in Feb at Apple and I just updated and it says it’s at 81%. They obviously didn’t do a change on the battery, currently calling Apple Care to run a diagnosis to confirm, will update shortly.

Wow

As of today, my release day iPhone X is officially no longer at 100% battery capacity.

Down to 98% after 5 months as of tomorrow.

How’s everyone elses batteries doing?

Batteries don’t age consistently. It also can fluctuate up and down a few percentage as well. Not 100% certain about Apples method of capturing design capacity. Just saying from recording design capacity via coconutBattery for my current and last 2 phones over 5 years.

Don’t worry about it at all.

I have an iPhone 7 Plus that I bought on launch day and my battery health is 91%. So I think you’ll be fine.

Indeed. I've had Coconut battery will report anywhere between 97% and 104% on some new devices that I've had. Your max is going to fluctuate. People need to relax unless they see a device start at 98 then steadily drop again and again without going through excessive load cycles.

Mine is from launch date and 100% as well. In the coconut app it switch between 99% and 100% so it might be close to a drop.

It has only been 25 days n my battery health is 99%

You're doomed. Doomed.

BTW, stop checking your battery health unless you have problems. Your battery capacity numbers fluctuate.

Or it might be close to a rise... or a plateau... or another drop. You might see it at 101% next time and 102% the time after. This is all normal. The numbers are just estimates and they'll bounce around.

I have problem with AppStore drain my battery fast 40% in background

My battery used and stand by same a hours
I’m on last version
That happen when I restor from iTunes without backup
So what can I do ???

I got my X for about 2 months and it dropped from 100% to 99% today. Quite normal I guess?

Launch day iPhone X here and have been using wireless charging on the Samsung convertible fast charger. Today, April 5th, is the first time I’ve seen my battery health drop to 99%.

question.does anyone of you use fast wireless charger or non oem?im sure it will degrade the battery fast

my iphone X bought launch day and still 100% only uses included charger.im not sure if everyone know but if you use wireless charger or even the ipad charger can significally affect your iphone’s battery thats why apple did not include it in the box.

i dont and apple probably wont admit.base on my experience i use my 12w ipad charging to charge my 7+ for 3 months and it went from 100% to 88% and i notice when you using the ipad brick the phone heatsup fast i cant even use it while charginga.heat is a battery killer.so i decided to not use it on my X and its been 4 months and still 100% ;)

So, just for clarity, and with reference to the post just above this, these posts are purely fictional and have no factual support at all.

Also i use an ipad 12 w charger, but it never overheats my phone, but i come from a country where the normal temp is 35-40 degrees.. but my friend uses a lightning charge since launch day and his battery says 100%

Just wondering, I just started to use the 29W Usb-c charger from BestBuy. I charge my phone twice a day, usually charge it from 30% to 95%.
My X's battery dropped to 98% today. Not sure this is alright.

BTW, for some reasons, whenever I use the 29W charger via the cable to my iPhone, it always "blink" twice with the battery charging logo, never seen it before.

What's the point in stating all that stuff is off? It has nothing to do with battery capacity.
