iPhone X iPhone X Display uniformity problem

This is my third iphone and every have this problem. Least problem with uniformity display had second phone but was very, very pink. Sometimes i see this problem during the day but in evening the most it see.

When sun shining i do not see this problem.

Photo to bump up this problem, in real life looks better. Can you take a photo your screen in dark room and when screen have 20% brightness?

Left side seems to be affected, unlike mine. My screen has banding all over the phone.
You call the shot, if you can live with it or want to get in the lottery.

Hi,

I’m waiting for my 4th Iphone X.
My first one had creaking problem (the phone body had built problem) and when I got the replaced one I discovered the banding..I call apple service and I bring to the authorized apple service. They said it was a hardware problem and they replaced my Iphone. So the new one also had banding problem aaaand dust in the phone camera..I talked with apple support and they ask me videos and pictures about the banding problem. And they sent it to apple engineers. And today I bring back to the authorized service the X cause the banding and the dust..they said I will get another new one in the next week. This thing drive me crazy. Is there anyone who has a fully uniform Iphone X screen? Or every Iphone X affected with this problem?

Yeah I just sent my iPhone X in to Apple for inspection, and I’m wondering if they are going to do anything about the display. Had I seen this whole post earlier on I would’ve been a bit more hesitant to send it in.
But here’s a photo of my display, I will set a reminder to take another photo if they replace the display, and I’ll post it here.

Is there someone, who dont have the banding issues at a grey background in darkness? I‘ve tested it with 5% backlight and see some uneven pattern.

So very sorry for the delay in response. I just revisited this issue when someone over on the Pokémon GO Reddit mentioned this.

The gray splotches on the replacement iPhone are still there, however it’s more spread out and much less noticeable than before. Although I wished they would’ve just replaced the iPhone display instead of the whole unit.

Why would you just want the display? You got other device related issues now?

Or just the restore from backup a pain?

Is this issue only noticeable on grey backgrounds? Can someone notice this like in the default mail app or settings app where it’s white?

The new ones do this too. Looking at my iPhone XS Max. It doesn’t seem as pronounced as the X but still there.

My x earpiece broke , they replaced the screen and I have this issue on the new sceeen , lighter on left side, they refuse to swap it out as they see no issue. Annoying as I notice it in the dark a lot

I don’t notice it at all during the day or with white backgrounds. I only notice it at night. I mostly use dark mode in apps and oh my god it drives me crazy. Its like this weird greenish hue. It doesn’t happen when True Tone and night shift are off though. Like it’s totally fine. I mean the display is uneven if I’m testing in special conditions, like with the 15% gray screen image or whatever. However it’s definitely not noticeable with those two settings off. This leads me to believe that it’s more software related than hardware related. I don’t wanna risk getting an even worse screen or participating in the OLED lotto so I think I’m just gonna try to ignore it for now.

I would normally but my dad died A few weeks before the phone broke and too busy fighting the hospital for his mistreatment so I just didn’t have it in me to prove it, they all checked and said it was fine etc and I just really had no strength to fight , but yep still frustrates me now 2 months later when I see the issue. Proving screen issues to apple unless very very apparent is tough

My perfect panel X my dog chewed through. I’ve seen many units and it was perfect

The one I have now is good enough tho thankfully

OLED lottery seems way worse than led

My first XS had a great screen, but had a loud popping sound when using force touch

Second XS perfect screen, but had an issue with the notch like ink under the screen

Third XS has the Grey uniformity thing like one half is brighter than the other. Im so tired of exchanging this so Im done.
