I have it as well.
From like 10-40ish percent brightness in the clock app on the right side of the panel. :/
Gonna try the apple store when I go to a town that has one in a few weeks.

I’m really annoyed with a pink hue that’s on the right side of my X screen when viewing a white screen. I’m probably going to return this unit
I had the red/pink tint as well with my old S8
I’m gonna wait and see if the Apple store will replace it once yields and quality goes up a bit for the panels

Ouch. I wouldn't be happy with some of these uneven displays. I'm usually the unlucky one when playing the screen lottery, but I must've made out ok this upgrade.

This is the thing, people don't consider real-world use when it comes to finding faults. They pick on the smallest of things that have practically no impact, but either use it as an excuse to support their buyers remorse or troll.
Why come to these threads then? Do you want to just tell people their wrong to notice issues. Are you trolling?

So I tried this... I didn't grab a picture, but the image was faintly darker at the top of the screen. I'm not sure how this would affect anything because who uses their iPhone at minimum brightness? I mean, I can't see anything at that brightness level. I'm very sensitive to this kind of stuff and my opinion is the X screen looks great. There are other things I don't like about the X, but the screen isn't one of them.

Maybe because what you see on your phone isn't the same as what other people see on theirs..?

I'm having the same issue and it's not noticable in fairly lit areas however at night the bottom right and right side is yellow. Took a picture as well to show. Spoke with apple support and they said bring in to store to view and most likely replace.

Night Shift and True Tone are both turned off btw

That looks bad

Full brightness on clock app straight on and off axis looks uniform and not blown out

Hi guys,
Download this image on your iPhone X - Here - its a dark solid grey background
In a dark room with brightness set to minimum, and True Tone / Night shift turned OFF ->
theoretically you should be seeing a uniform grey colour - however many people are seeing:

Could you repeat this experiment, take photos and post them in this thread please ?

Nope. With whatever expierence I have had with AMOLED screens, if you put a pure grey image you'll be able to tell the difference between the left and right edge and bottom left and top right corner.

I could see minor non uniformity with my iPhone X using the grey wallpaper but then it doesn't really bother me in real usage. I have decided to let go and worry one thing less in my life

Do you notice it in real world conditions? If so, take to apple. If you're locking yourself in a dark closet and applying a grey background and tweaking several settings to recreate an issue, then the phone is likely fine.

Yes i can notice it sometimes in real usage but not all the time. If brightness is all the way up and im outside i cant notice it but when inside with brightness turned down you can.

If you want to scrutinize the smallest imperfections here's an image for you. Took this with a long exposure on a fast prime lens. This is 10% gray on lowest brightness.

With the naked eye, all I can see is that the ears are slightly dimmer. I can't see all the patterns my camera is seeing here.

My old S7 Edge was visibly not uniform on just white screen, you can see the top half is more red and the bottom half is more green. When it was brand new. The iPhone X is MUCH more uniform.

I have the same exact thing going on. However, my screen is not experiencing the yellow tint issue - white's look good. I think I'm going to keep this one. If I go and return, the chances of getting an even worse panel are high.

I use minimum brightness every night in bed with the lights off. In fact, I was a little disappointed that the X doesn’t get as dim as my 7 Plus.

So how does this affect your day to day user experience? Do you stare at the gray screen all day for pleasure? Can you tell a difference when using the phone like normal people?

In dark apps it's really noticeable, my unit has the same issue. It's so noticeable that at first I thought maybe the app was applying a gradient to the background -- nope, just a duff panel.

This will hopefully make the strain less on your eyes;

General --> Accessibility --> Zoom

Zoom [OFF]/ON
Follow Focus OFF/[ON]
Smart Typing [OFF]/ON
Show Slider [OFF]/ON

Zoom area --> Zoom the entire screen
Zoom filter --> Low Light

General --> Accessibility --> Activation-button --> Zoom

Now if you click the homebutton thrice it will dimm the screen even lower than otherwise possible with the slide,
this works on the iPhone 5s --> 8. Cus the X has no homebutton im not sure how that would work, but you can always manually enable Zoom and then it will dimm the screen as well, good luck

Im not sure if I got all the terms right cus I translated from Dutch.
