upgrading from X to Xs. same space grey 256gb.
already on iPhone upgrade plan so other than the additional tax, i'm paying close to same amount monthly so not a big deal (paying a few dollars extra a month for theft/loss policy on AC+)

didn't want to upgrade to Max because i love the one handedness and pocket-ability of the X. it's got enough screen real estate that anything else bigger than that would be overkill for me personally.

looking forward mostly to the improved camera, faster Face ID and hopefully better LTE performance on T-mobile due to the added 600 Mhz spectrum in the coverage.

I have updated today. I do the upgrade programme so for me it makes sense. I love the size of my X and have decided to go for the XS 256GB again, but this time I have gone for gold for the very first time.

Since I’m with the upgrade program I will. I’m paying almost the same amount as I do for my X, and realistically I know I’m not going to ever have the phone long enough to pay it off and not have an installment to pay. If this was 7 years ago with subsidized pricing through the carriers with 2yr contracts, I wouldn’t upgrade.
 
Yes but ONLY because I am with the AT&T Next 24 month program. If it weren't for that then no way would I be upgrading. I upgraded to the Max however I am worried this might be a little too big so if that is the case I will exchange it for the Xs and call it a day.
 
Upgrading from a white X 64gb to a gold Xs 64gb, mainly due to the camera. Would call myself a hobbyist photographer and even if the camera on the X is AMAZING I just couldn’t stop drooling on the photos presented at the conference. I was toying with the idea of getting the max but I humbly think it’s just too big and ridiculously overpriced.

I picked up the 5, 5S, 6 plus, 6S plus, 7 plus, and X at launch.

A little obsessed but for the first time, I didn't preorder the latest version. I was way more into "power using" a phone in my younger days, but now I just use text, email software, and some social media apps. I can't find a good reason to upgrade this time around, which is shocking for me since I was all on board 3D Touch for 6S, and 7+'s dual camera.

I also didn't want to go back to a large iPhone (not very large hands). The X/XS fit my hands just fine. Hmmm
 
I ordered a XS Max for pickup on the 21st. I want to go to the store and hold it to see if it's going to be too large. I did have a 7Plus before the current X and it was fine 99% of the time (Snug jeans exception). Can anyone confirm that the order can be cancelled at the store at pickup if I decide against it?
 
I upgrade every year. My daughter gets my year old phone and I sell the two year old phone.
 
Yes to XS Max . Don’t want to but I did with Apple upgrade program for the first time. Always paid full price 6s+,7+ and X. Wish they take trade in, now going selling it on e bay again wish me luck .

Sticking with my 256gb X and series 3 LTE watch as well....this is the first time since I got the iPhone 4 with Verizon thAt I’m not interested in preorder or getting the new one....i can’t justify the high cost....
 
I want to qualify my former post. I upgrade every year because my daughter gets my old phone (X), my dad gets her phone (7+) and then I either sell his phone (6s+) or I will gift it to a friend.

This 100%. I had the note 8 buy one get one free. They sent me a gift card to pay it off. My wife wanted to go back to apple, so we got the bogo, I got the iphone x and she got the 8 plus. I love the X, but after it got water damage and apple gave me a new one for free, I sold it. I preordered the iPhone xs max and can't wait to get a bigger screen again. My wife also feel inlove with the note 8 size and wanted the 8 plus. That's the main reason i'm upgrading.

which watch? im debating on either investing into the stainless steel or just GPS aluminum ...just worried about that glass screen scratching easily.

Unless you are very careless with your wrist or work in a field with the possibility of things hitting your wrist a lot, you should be fine going the aluminum route.
