But why did you take it in a threatening manner? That seems odd to me. Do online forums intimidate you?
When I said "see what happens" i envisioned you would get a lot of responses from people and see there were more people having issue than you originally thought and dismissed. Online forums are never intimidating to me...

Yikes, not good. Thank goodness for warranties and Apple Stores close by if they have extra stock to accommodate defects. It is a toss up since they may have it but also may not have it.
