Can't you just add them both to your cart, and then check out?
I did a trial run with the iPhone 8 getting ready for the iPhone X pre-order. I "pretend" ordered 2 iPhone 8 plus'. You have to put each iPhone in your cart separately & when you go to the checkout they will both be there. I'm ordering the SIM Free models & it was very simple to order 2 or more. I know it will be very stressful when October 27th rolls around. It goes really fast (my reason for the iPhone 8 "pretend" pre-order). Also, Apple has a Barclays Visa card that I was told by an Apple employee is their preferred credit card & it will appear in the checkout as payment for your Apple purchases. All the card info will already be there at checkout which will also save you the stress of inputting your credit card numbers. I'm all about getting in & getting out in as little time as possible. I've been ordering iPhones since '08 I learn something new each time.

I don’t have that card but the online store (and the app) have my normal CC saved. No need to enter it whenordering either.

Question?
Which color are you buying?

I will be buying silver one in 64 GB. Love that stainless steel band around the edges with black front.

Actually not liking the stainless steel myself, nor even the darkened version in black which is what i'll most likely get.

Prefer the matt-like band around the 8 than the X.

& that's all i'll say on the colour, as it's usually something I don't bother paying much attention to. Just give me the black/space grey & i'm content.

I view the iPhone X as the iOS counterpart of the 12" MacBook.

The MacBook was super expensive for what it was, but was the new kid on the block that brought all kinds of innovations (new keyboard, ultra thin design, Force Touch) that were eventually brought to the remaining line.

The iPhone X is the new cutting edge product that is substantially more expensive just for the sake of being new. In time it will be refined and it's innovations will flow to the rest of the line. I couldn't justify spending the money not the first generation MacBook and I can't on this first generation product either.

To me storage does not matter, color is important to me. I would be glad get any space gray whichever storage is available.

Disappointed that the x makes my 7 feel like an se. Too heavy. Too thick.

Have you handled the iPhone X? Just curious how you would know that. Also, by today's standards, I really don't feel the iPhone 7 is really that thick, or even that heavy by that matter. It's incredibly thin and a light weight size by my standards.

I'm worried that after the Verge review where they pretty much said no need to upgrade if you already have a 7, that it will persuade a lot of people who were on the edge to go with the X now.

I wouldn't be worried only because I've found that a lot of people who did go with the 8 or who are considering going with the 8 did so because they don't want a first generation phone or they don't want to pay 1000+ for a phone. My biggest issue was having to wait until possibly 2018. Before the keynote, I was SET on the X. After they announced that November 1st date I was like eh...is it worth it to wait until after November (Because I'm certain stock is going to sell out QUICKLY). I really am content with my 7 plus I just hate how big the phone is in my little hands so I figured the X would've been the best of both worlds but not if I have to potentially wait until December-January in order to receive it.

Doubt people judge their choice over some review.

My dummy iPhone X from China feels heavy compared to my 7. The dummy X is 4g over the spec weight.

Here's a pic with the elago case I have.

Not buying due to the notch

I think the notch is a smart idea. Rather than have a black sensor bar, like we do now, and some unusable pixel rows for the status bar. The X combines the two areas into one.

From Engadet (https://www.engadget.com/2017/09/19/iphone-8-and-8-plus-review/
"It's no secret that smartphones have tended to get sleeker and less obtrusive over time. Screens are growing, but bezels are shrinking. In a very real way, the boundaries between us and our information -- our apps, our contacts, our very desires reproduced in pixels -- are melting away. Apple has sensed the industry shifting around it, and it made the iPhone X in response to that. But, in a bid to make the transition less jarring, Apple also made the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.

They're familiar-looking phones that mostly operate the way people expect them to. They're conventional. But that doesn't mean they're inherently lacking -- far from it, in fact. While I suspect all iPhones will look like the iPhone X soon enough, the 8 and 8 Plus are expertly built, high-performance devices for people who want to ease into Apple's vision of the future. And who knows? These just might be the last conventional iPhones Apple makes."

Sounds reasonable but the downfall is the time (seconds) you lose putting each one in separately. This pushes you further back in the queue.
