Jesus, you are a whiner. It's not that big of a deal. You know beforehand you're not going to use it because you have a brain and do what you need to do. If you need to use it and it's almost dead, then use lighting to charge and use it. Enough wall sockets available? Get a damn power strip. Fixed that problem. Electric usage for two chargers? If you can't afford the power usage from two chargers you probably should just get a flip phone and not worry about a $999 device. Fixed that problem. Free space for a Qi charger? Move some sh-t. Fixed that problem. Good lord, you make it sound like it's the worst thing ever. All wireless charging on smartphones use this, get over it, or stop being a baby.

So you're going to use two chargers to charge your iPhone : the one with lightning cable and the one with Qi when youre not in a hurry? How do you know beforehand if you're not going to use your phone while Qi charging it? Is that very intuitive user experience?

This creates atleast three other issues like having enough wall sockets available, or having enought free surface for Qi. How about electric usage with two chargers? Instead of solving any issues Qi creates new ones.

Comment which capacity and model if you're buying an iPhone X!

X 256GB: $1149 Space Gray (but really looks like matte black)

Great choice! I want to look at more photos of the phone, the website says there's a silver model, but in the keynote it looked white. I would go for Black/Space Grey if the silver doesn't look that good!

The silver look white (well off white) to me.

Why is there no "buy without carrier" option for the iPhone X? It's available for iPhone 8, but not for the X. Will they add it when we get closer to the pre-order date?
I spoke with Apple yesterday & she told me as it gets closer to October 27th there will be a "SIM FREE" full price option available. Waiting patiently for the X!!!

Bought an 8 Plus as soon as the pre-orders began, half expecting to return it or resell it to get a X later (I really need a phone right now, waiting seemed excruciating), but as my delivery date draws closer, I'm pretty sure I'll pass on the X this year. I see the 8 Plus being the sleeper hit of 2017, but I hope the X surprises me!

I wonder what the pricing will be like.
I'm planning on buying 2 X's 256gb in Silver. I believe they are selling for $1,149.00 for the 256gb model X & $999.00 for the 64gb.

I was wondering how the ordering for the 8/8+ went last night? Smoother than last year? If so, hope that bodes well for the X on 10/27.
I'm waiting for the X also. I followed the 8 pre-sale the next morning after the midnight release & they still had 9-22 pick up dates. I also hope it will be easier to order the X this year, last year the pre-order for the 7 was a total mess!! I'm in California & it didn't allow us to order for about 10 minutes after the midnight start time! Needless to say I was heated!!!

Why 2 of them?

I was dead set on a gold iPhone 8 Plus 64G, so much so I ordered it twice via T-Mobile last couple days and ended up canceled both times. The thought of owning an X for $200 more was the reason behind both times. I'm not saying the X is a better phone than the 8 Plus, but it's different (good or bad). The same front face design of the 8 just killed it for me at the end. I've owned both 6+ and 6S+, I held out not to get the 7+ because I know Apple gonna do something special for the 10th anniversary. I just can't justify to myself bypassing the X for a phone with the same exterior design as the one I got 3 years ago. I really wish they trim the bezel a bit on the 8+ like they did with the 10.5" iPad Pro.

My phones pretty old so I probably need a new one. The X looks like the best thing for my needs. I don't want a big phone any longer, and the X seems to maximize screen area, which is good.

THere's the new toy aspect, but like most people here, it's not going to make me all giddy.

Only enough, I'm glad it's a ways off cuz shelling out 1k is not something I enjoy doing. Best to put it off long enough to resign myself to it :D

The X has similar dimensions to my old Sony Xperia Z1, so no sale. It's that simple. If there was a version of the X between the 6/7/8 and the SE in size, I would be at the carrier shop signing up. It is so much about the size.

(OLED would be nice. My 2016 Samsung Tab S2 gives me OLED in spades. After 6 months I still think, look at that black and those colours....)
